Are you referring to the motors, or the rubber tires during acceleration/deceleration?

It's not all french metros. It's only the ones that use rubber tires. This noise can also be found in the other metroes in the world that have this type of wheels, such as Montréal, Ciudad de México, Santiago de Chile or Laussane
