Part 2 is on the way!
Dew it.
I will dew the dew.
This is great, but could you lower the music volume in the future?
I'm running my first campaign ever with Ghosts of Saltmarsh, and I'm excited to watch this series to get my head in the right place! Even though I have the book, it is really helpful to see all the info presented visually. Thanks for putting in all the effort, as it's very much appreciated :)
I will be the first to say this series is not a replacement for reading the book, I still highly recommend reading the book, this is like the supplemental material to help reinforce or expand on different parts of the book, lol. I’m glad you like the series and I hope it helps you and your table have some awesome adventures.
thank you for covering the important details of certain mechanics, taking notes for my players and trying to make sure things run smoothly. also the death sound scared the hell outta me
Most fantastic DM resource for running Saltmarsh that I've seen yet.
Thank you, you are too kind.
Wow this is insanely helpful and the work put into the editing is NOT going unnoticed. Instant sub. 10/10 watching and liking every video in this series
Thanks so much for making this video! I have trouble reading and this helpd me a lot with getting ready for my campaign
I'm glad it was helpful, Now you have more time for sailing the high seas lol
This is still an extremely useful resource - I suck at studying these huge adventures, having it presented like this is PERFECT for my stupid brain. THANKS!!!!!
Hey, a bit late to the party, since you left this comment more than a year ago, but I wanted to say the following - Don't call your brain stupid, whether it is a joke or not. Every brain has its, well, preference on what is the most efficient way to memorize and learn new things. Some people prefer reading, some listening, some like different kinds of visual learning (images, videos, mind maps), and some like a combination of these. So, don't be harsh to yourself because you don't respond perfectly to one of these techniques. The fact that you were/are DMing already means that you have a very cool brain. Take care 💪🏻
Thanks a bunch for this entire video series. I started this campaign recently (converting to a GURPS playgroup no less), and it's been a huge help in my own prep. Your suggestions for improvements to various plot holes or quests are very welcome.
Excellent video. Hilarious, informative, and well made. This is going to help me a ton DMing my one shot. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much man! Clean summary of Saltmarsh and everything you need to know for the first prep.. just recently bought the campaign for me and my friends and let me tell you THIS HELPS A LOT! :)
I love reading the books. But there are lots of details you picked up on that I missed, or forgot since I read it. Its a fantastic refresher and primer to run it. Thanks!
Thanks for doing this man this is a ton of help for my first saltmarsh run!!
This is an excellent video for someone preparing to run this campaign
Amazing work ❤
Let me just say, videos like this help a DM so much.
This is an incredibly useful video
You did a great job with this Series thank you.
Thank you! Only two more left and then it will be on to the next book.
Wow, this is super helpful. Thank you
Yay, I'm glad you found it helpful!
Extremely helpful video, I bought the book on Roll20 but it feels weirdly incomplete, so I appreciate this!
Bro some of your edits are FHUUUNY
Awesome guide! love it, wish the volume was higher tho!
Love this! Really well presented :)
Thank you, I glad you like it!
Subscribed for the saltmarsh series
Quite lovely
This is fantastic and really helpful
I'm glad you liked it!
The music for this is awesome. What would you do with a drunken sailor early in the morning.
Just subbed thanks for the vid
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it.
I love your maps. I can't figure out how to print them on one page each though. Lol
3:37 omg denny pebblepot
Hi Thank You so much!
I’m glad you liked it!
I love that smuggling is just trading with a pirate flag. 😂
Good stuff
Thank you! I hope you and your group get some extra fun/use from this.
Is that the actual map of Saltmarsh? It has about 50 houses plus the various keyed locations. Must be awfully cramped in those buildings for the guard/militia alone, let alone all the miners, dock workers, etc.
I know this is old video but can you do video on a Theros
Where did you get that Image at 4:09 ? It's excellent!
Honestly I’m not sure how I found it the first time, but after search through, D&D Fishing Town I found it here. www.google.com/search?q=d%26d%20fantasy%20fishing%20village&tbm=isch&hl=en-US&tbs=rimg:CRvpnNge5r1gYRFid85zecjx&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS914US914&sa=X&ved=0CBIQuIIBahcKEwiIruvCpK_wAhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQBw&biw=375&bih=640#imgrc=Sg4E2X-wi0W7IM
Thank yiu for this, but you really need to increaze the volume for your voice.
Great content and very informative! My only notes are that it is very hard to hear your voice over the music and I had to max out my volume. The other note is that I think you are talking too fast and it would be helpful to slow it down a bit so that people could follow. Otherwise, keep up the great work!
I agree. I wanted to turn the music down. But otherwise great video
Nice video. But I think the bg music was too loud and making it difficult at times to hear you
I'm DMing GoSm and you said someone is sabotaging the fishing boats is foreshadowing, but I can not find what that is supposed to be foreshadowing.
Edit:missed a few words
Hmm, if youtubes search engine didn't suck the center of couplating elephants that would be helpful.
It would be helpful if I had thought to just go into your playlist and found this video a year ago.
Where can I find the image of the marines (2:24)? I feel like I've looked everywhere.
sorry it took a while to refind, images.app.goo.gl/uQLFGeGvynCY6L1B6. I think the search was D&D captain though.
@@HoodedKobold I can't wait to run this adventure. I'm doing it almost entirely based on your maps. Thanks man.
@@thekernel1837 that’s so awesome, thank you for telling me. It’s really nice to hear stuff I made helping other people in their games.
Good content, but the background music is too loud compared to your voice which is too quiet. I found it really distracting and impossible to follow what you were saying at points.
I am a noob who is running a campaign. I do not want to read 258 pages of lore because I am way too lazy. If I watch videos will they be able to help me run a campaign?
I seriously hope you're trolling.
The bg music is so loud I can’t even listen to what you say
Not to be poo pooing this but how can a mine exist in a wet lands marsh and that near the sea? Wouldn't the the general water table be a major hindrance to such activities? And how did they discover the ore in the first place? I dig a hole 6 foot deep* fills with water* In Waterdeep( as example)? No. I just thought this off the top of my head. I like the idea but really stretches the suspension of disbelief a bit too much. Instead, how bout a salt gathering operation instead or sugar cane farming for rum distillation. 2 cents..Other than that, nice way you added pics and music.
Music is distracting
I'll take a "i can't ever play human" over "i won't play any race but human" player ANY AND EVERY TIME
u ruined this video by making the background music too loud
