Thank you. Not many people doing this detailed info and videos on NC dispersed camping and forest service road areas. Very helpful.

We would go in college to Wiseman's view to look for the Brown Mtn lights. Never saw them.

How did you have a signal up there to watch football and did you leave all your camping gear(tent) when you went to the winery?

Did you set up your tent and then go out exploring so you claimed your spot for the night?

Yea we set up our tent first since the spots are first come first serve.

Is Conley Cove trail to Buzzard's Roost difficult? Is there a lot of rock/boulder scrambling on Conley Cove? Thanks!

I read after October 31 there is no permit required for camping? So you can just drive until you find a spot you like and set up, is that correct? Also what’s regulations on firewood, noticed you packed yours? Thanks a lot, great video btw.

You actually don’t need a permit to camp any time of the year off of Old NC 105. All of the camping spots are dispersed camping and are first come first serve. Just make sure to get up there early in the day. The ones with the incredible views go quick.
As far as the firewood, a good rule of thumb is to burn wood in a 50 mile radius of its origin. But sometimes that is hard to do if getting it from store.

Wish the roads were still gnarly to get out to those camping spots like they use to be. Kept out alot of the glampers and city goobers.
