This is actually 31 of Newman’s 32 interceptions as a Dallas Cowboy. He had one against Washington in 2008 that I couldn’t find, the rest are here though 👍.
That one interception tape was never recoverd by the NFL...

Miss T New. Just comparing him to the corners we’ve had in recent years is night and day. That man knew how to take the ball away and make plays on routes. He gave up some plays but man he also knew how to close out games with key interceptions

I remember him shutting down S. Smith 1 on 1. He had him so frustrated he got ejected late in the 3rd quarter. Newman was criminally underrated.
Newman's point of his career was with the Cowboys. He was at the highest point of his prime at that time of his career.
Definitely, his best years were with Dallas.

@Adam Dub you know that's not true. He was good with Minnesota but he was in his prime with Dallas. He locked up Steve Smith 1 on 1. Smith had 3 receptions for 18 yards.

He's one of my favorite Cowboys ever. Still disgusted he only went to two pro bowls and was never an All-Pro. I will say his ball skills were a little bit of a weakness. He dropped a lot of picks and that probably cost him a few pro bowls and a couple All-Pro's.
With the rise of analytics. If Newman played in this era he would be a pro bowler damn near every season and definitely an All-Pro.

I think he went 3 seasons straight without giving up a TD. A true lock down corner in every sense of the word. I remember him saying he could play til he was 40 because even when he loses a step he will still be faster than 90% of the receivers playing.

He was a top 5-10 nfl corner most of his career. And had 32 interceptions in 9 seasons with Dallas, Newman was a ballhawk 💯.

Great guy. Had the opportunity to chop it up w him a few times. I remember him telling me speed receivers didnt bother him. It was the tall receivers that used to give him the most trouble. Loved watching him play though.

T New was the last truly stud cornerback Dallas has had. Also, I always thought Dallas underutilized him as a punt returner.

You ask me he was a poor man's Deion Sanders, he ran like him. Didn't have his catch up acceleration or turn around and find the ball skills, but he was a good tackler and kept most receptions in front of him. Just my opinion...

Haven’t had a corner like him in awhile. The NY game made him look bad. I would’ve had him in that slot instead of Scandrick. Hopefully Diggs can become the ballhawk that he was.

It's been a while since I've seen a Dallas DB with that many INT's. The thing that stands out the most,, though, was towards the end of his Cowboys career when it seemed he would give up huge plays and the worst possible moments. IDK why that is. Maybe I've become jaded.

We haven't had a good CB since he left. Our defense has continued to get worse through the years. Hopefully our defense improved through the draft.

Overrated. Constantly beat on double moves just like his buddy Scandrick. Anyone remember him piggy back riding on Brandon Marshall, and Marshall still caught the Td on him? Teams constantly picked on Newman and won. I couldn't have been happier when they released him.
No way man, all corners get posterized eventually. But you don't stay in the League for 14 seasons, if you're not badass

Can go down the list Steve smith twice, Santana moss, plaxico burress, Roy Williams, desean jackson, Andre Jackson, Fitzgerald a couple others as well. 2005 didn’t allow a touchdown. Only time Newman played bad is when he played hurt. He was a top 5-10 in his prime that could tackle. His last two years he played well first half of the season then played hurt and couldn’t move as fast. Goes to two other teams after and plays well. Every corner gets beat but Newman was very good
