- Eine der besten schottische Folk Formationen aller Zeiten in einem intimen live Konzert aus dem legaendaeren 'Bahnhof Michel' in Bohmte, Mitte der 90er Jahre. Es ist unseres Wissens nach die beste live Aufnahme, die jemals von dieser Band entstanden ist, in familiaerer Kneipenatmosphaere. Wegen der Authentizitaet haben wir das Konzert voellig ungeschnitten mit allen Pausen hochgeladen. Wir wuensche Euch viel Spass beim Zuhoeren/Sehen.
Es war uns ein Herzensanliegen dieses einmalige Zeitdokument in unserer Taetigkeit als Wirte nun endlich nach weit ueber 20 Jahren der Oeffentlichkeit zugaenlich zu machen.

One of the best Scottish folk formations of all time in an intimate live concert from the legendary 'Bahnhof Michel' in Bohmte, in the mid 90s. As far as we know, it is one of the best live gigs that ever have been recorded from this band in such a familiar pub atmosphere. Because of the authenticity Iwe uploaded the concert totally uncut with all pauses. We wish you a lot of fun listening / watching.
It was a matter close to our hearts to finally make this unique contemporary document available to the public after well over 20 years in my work as landlords.

Das waren großartige Gigs damals von den Tannies. Ich habe sie damals mehrfach im Rhein-Main Gebiet gesehen. Gute Folk-Zeiten: Oisin, Wild Geese, Altan, Andy Irvine, Christy Moore, die Furey Bros. und wie sie alle hießen. Der Plattenschrank ist noch voll...
I played with these guys as the 1985 (?) Edmonton (Canada) Folk Festival. There were three bands in a workshop; the Weavers, my band (The Original Balkan Jam), and the host of the workshop, Gabby Haas, the composer of hundreds of Polkas. The uncomfortable part of the workshop was that Gabby kept on referring to the Weavers as "our Irish Friends" and at the end of the session, swung into a spirited rendition of the Irish Washerwoman. We all joined in, but those proud Scots were not very happy!
Than you for posting this childhood memories of my dad while I was growing up he introduced me to the Tannahill Weavers.
