Not that hard on VQ's tbh: it's a high compression N/A motor with decent displacement, especially on single outlet exhaust as the pressure in the pipe is higher than dual exhaust outlet, and unburnt fuel will ignite quicker/escape with more velocity Had an Rx8, it was horrid on fuel efficiency being a rotary engine so the moment I hollowed out the cat, pops and flames for days, science is fun 🔥

I’m so strict about not revving out my car until it warms up. I’m sure once or twice doesn’t hurt it much at all, but I like to be safe and do everything I can to make my engine last.

Cold start Is irrelevant in a NA motor, the only one who’s really got to wait is the turbocharged and supercharged guys, yours you only gotta wait 2-5 seconds before oil is where it needs to be, turbochargers need their oil warm not just in place before revving because of how much faster the turbine spins compared to your valves
