- In todays video we compare an Isuzu dump truck to a F-350 dump truck. The bodies are a little bit different but were focusing on the vehicle itself. Enjoy!

Love the Isuzu. A buddy of mine changed the sticks on the front-end and it helped with the ride alot.
Tanks for all your info about these two trucks. Great video, liked instantly!
I agree with your assessment. I drove a cab over flat bed tow truck for several years. It was great for maneuvering but at the end of driving for six days straight I was pretty beat up. I drove it in some major snow storms as well and there’s definitely an art to doing so because unloaded you can find yourself spinning out.
I agree. That is why I steered away from the cab over initially. Having driven them for a few years doing trash routes I grew to hate them. Pulling to the side of the road in the winter, you’d always get stuck in the smallest snow bank. It excited to see how she performs this winter.
Thanks for the video Steve. I have a love hate relationship with my cab overs also but the reality is that they are work trucks and you need employees to be able to just jump in them and go get the jobs done with the least amount of a learning curve.
I still love my 350 Rack Body but so far, the Isuzu has worked out a lot better than I was expecting. Still need to get through the winter to really decide on its overall performance in MA
Literally check almost every day for new content. Fired up to watch!!!
I appreciate you brother!
Very helpful. I am really close to pulling the trigger on the 2023 Isuzu NRR. What length containers can you put on it? I am reading conflicting stuff online, seeing 11' but then also seeing 12-14'. Big difference to me. Thank you very much anyone for answering, especially Steve! Appreciate your videos
Just starting out in the business and came across JRA videos along with your own. I used the infor from your load pricing video, and hoarder video so far helped allot. As for JRA, just wondering if you used his services other than buying the truck?
So I can see cost and everything I’m new to this business.
Thanks In advance!
I love your channel! I live in Winnipeg Canada and I’m new to all this but I am looking to start my own junk removal business. All the stuff that you don’t keep, where does it usually get dumped? Also, what’s the best way to start out in this line of work say after you get yourself a truck and a trailer?
Definitely looking forward to some switch and go videos. How to’s, thoughts, review.
I’ve been looking into a palfinger hook lift or sng. Just recently found out a company in my city sells and installs sng, so that has me looking into that system more.
The SNG system seems to be more readily available over any hook systems as of right now. A little cheaper too. Have you driven hooks before?
Great content as always. I used to drive isuzus when I was a delivery driver and I know what you mean about the comfort. It has to be said that you are directly over the suspension in a cab over which is why its so violent lol. Im using a truck and trailer but things are different here (Brisbane, Australia). We have heaps of room in driveways/ apartment blocks etc.
When I’m driving over pot holes (most roads in Boston) I feel like I’m riding a bull. Both hands on the wheel hahaha
I have a 1988 toyota dually with a relatively small box truck and have done jobs well over $4000
Can u go over ur cord 350 truck? I have a cord 450 n I want to setup it like urs. So like the lift u have on it n trap n the sign on the side. Thanks
Another nice video, thanks. One thing you mentioned in the past was the 350 in snow. After you guys get some will you update us on how the NRR handles the snow?
Yessir. I can tell you now it's not going to be pretty. She'll be able to work but I can see us slipping and sliding all over the place already
Welcome back brother!! GIDDYUP!!
Back in action 🤺
Great video as always! What is the isuzu model, year and info etc on the vehicle? I would like to purchase one fir this up coming season.
The cab overs are definitely built for efficiency over comfort. I’m not looking forward to steep driveways in the winter though 🥶
It’ll be interesting to say the least!
Steve,, We Need another video & something talking about the J.R.A Truck & Economy impact on work / anything to help us grow & to see what you have been up to / update, well,, Please have a Great rest of Your Day Steve...

P.s. Thank You Steve,, for helping us/ your youtube community out to be able to provide for are loved ones and ourselves...
Dude, I haven't even watched the whole video yet. But cabovers are the bomb and the Isuzu cabover is totally Rock. In my experience. I'm a Ford guy big time! I've been driving E& F350s for 25 years, but Isuzu cabovers are really freaking awesome as well! They're Nimble, efficient, and to get into tight spaces way better than the typical truck. Now to watch the rest of your video and see what you have to say about them lol!!
Yeah I was wondering what was going on. Smart move though giving you more flexability in the tight areas. I have a 10' box and its working well but limited on the weight because its a GMC 2500. Still can bang out 2-3 loads a day though. The thing that freaks me out about the cab over is running into the back of someone. It looks like it wouldnt be very safe. I know there are thousands of them on the road but still.
I hear you on that! It’s funny when you’re sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, you feel like your inside the car in front of you. I wouldn’t trade it for something different though. Very happy with the truck and it’s performance so far.
Curious what you have on the rear for loading?
Lift gates? Ramps?
Also wanted to know about the NRR for off-road? They get stuck easy? Landfills I use I actually go up the hill and need 4 wheel drive.
Thanks
If you’re driving on landfills with any sort of grade. Do not buy a cab over. Not worth the risk every day. We do not use lift gates nor will I ever. Pull up your britches and lift that fridge into the truck!
I have Four F550's coming this spring with Bodies from JRA. I already have a Fuzo from JRA not impressed with the Fuzo. The Streets here in Las Vegas are very wide and we need to be able to haul trailers. John - JP's Junk Removal
Congrats on growing your business!
Thank you Glenn!
A strange question but what tranfer station or landfill do you dump the junk at?
Isuzu offers an optional suspension driver seat. You might want to try one next time to see if you like that better for the bumps and potholes.
Starting my Junk Removal with F150 and Standard trailer. Just gotta start and save up to get a nice setup like yours!
I love it! How many yards is the trailer? Do you have pricing already mnapped out?
@@SteveConroy1 I’ve got a good hold on pricing in my area (Greenville, SC) . Hardest part so far is getting leads and calls for jobs. Been hitting up most free ad sources lately. Thanks for your help bro
Great truck
Old video, and maybe you will see this, but I do tree work and am looking to convert one of these gas cabovers to a chip truck. Be a few thousand lbs in chips at times, but the real question is how will it pull a 6800lb chipper? I'm sure you must get close to that with a dump trailer with scrap. Thanks!
Love the content as usual brotha! Blue Koi Hauling and Junk Removal here; reorg'd out of preservation. With truck inventory so limited, starting out with an Isuzu NQR; yes a diesel but looking to add another asap! Anyhow, it has a stake dump bed . My question is, where and how did you outfit your dump bed (i.e. plywood inserts, plaques, truck lettering, accessory shops, etc). Thanks again for the content!!!
There is a video on it titled "what truck to buy" I made last year. Take look at that
@@SteveConroy1 Thanks Steve! Much appreciated.
Great Video - I have 2 JRA trucks....but really like your switch n go. Is your new JRA a switch n go and what will be the size of your dump body? Good job!
The JRA truck I bought will not be a switch n go. It is a regular dump body and will be 15 yards
How do you carry your tools in the NRR? I'm guessing the toolbox on the side was for the pumps.
Tool box is strictly for tools. Switch n go is hydraulic hoist, electric winch.
Thanks for the video very informative. Do you need DOT number for the isuzu nrr dump truck?
I need that number on all trucks
Morning. Got a few questions please. Would you do material delivery in the NRR? Appliance.. furniture or office moving services in the NRR. Thanks
You can do material delivery or moving in any truck. Some are obviously more advantageous than others. I personally do not do delivery or moving
Hell yeah, good vid. The bouncy is a definite thing, but you do get used to it after driving it for a little while😂
All in all, I think that was a magnificent choice for your Biz, especially considering the work downtown and tight quarters once in awhile.
I'm actually going to bet you twenty, that you don't want to get rid of it once your other truck comes through😜
Literally at the crossroads of do I buy a dump trailer for the truck I have.. or do I just go buy the dump truck straight up. I do a lot of city work where I know the trailer doesn’t work
Dump truck.
@@SteveConroy1 yeah I think that where I’m leaning unless I get some kind of a steal on a dump trailer.
I live in south coast MA. The prices at the transfer station are crazy 195$ a ton and 50$ for mattresses. Plus I had to wait 3 hours there. Looking to get into another service but afraid the time spent at the transfer station would eat all my profits.
It’s a common theme I’m hearing more and more of in MA. A transfer station I use when mine is closed is now closing at 10am most days. Sometimes they don’t even open. Something’s gotta change around here or a lot of people are going to feel the push back (and I’m not talking about business owners)
I was thinking about buying a switch n go. Are the hard to pick up the containers
Easy
Will either of these bodies hold 16 cu/yds? If not, what is their size?
What under body toolbox do you have on the Isuzu?
Hi, I have an npr. How can I find a dumping sight for my city in CA please?
I have a 2018 Chevy LCF 4500 & feel the same about the ride. I couldn't find a seat or suspension to upgrade. Has anyone else?
They are kind of dangerous too, cabovers are usually the first one there when you get in an accident versus someone else too. That's why they stop making cabover big rigs here in the US.
Definitely agree with you but for a vehicle that is traveling locally mostly off highway, I’m not too worried about it.
How did you get the financing? Did you setup a LLC before hand? Or did you do personal. Also how do you find customers. I’m considering starting a junk removal business going to have my younger brother help me. I feel it will keep me busy.
Put my Isuzu on the side walk yes yesterday lifted the bed and was just chucking bags and tvs out a 2nd floor apartment on a Main Street but yessir you fucking fly on every crack in the road haha
Hi , can I get the info for that company you mentioned that makes dumps specific for junk removal please
Great video bro! If you don't mind me asking what are you paying for the truck from Jra ? I'm planning on grabbing another truck here soon and I haven't heard anything about them. Thanks.
I’m not sure what they are going for now with everything increasing in price pretty rapidly. Contact them and ask. They are an open book.
@@SteveConroy1 thanks bro 🤙
If you had the money starting the business but could only buy 1 set. Do you buy a NRR a 350 or 2500 pick up and dump trailer?
Dump Truck for sure
That Isuzu sounds like a fine ride. Are you still liking it?
Been waiting so long for a new video I understand work is busy but damm bro lol
I stretch myself pretty thin man. Between work and family life I’d say it’s 90/10. Comes a time when you need to readjust and make time for what’s important
That's true your one of my mentor you and Sonoma strong. I just follow you on insta, I am looking to start up my own junk removal business and I am glad for all the information you've shared
@@boldbosstv5602 Happy to hear it brother. Where are you located? How big of a service area do you plan on servicing?
@@SteveConroy1 i am in New york city, i am planing on servicing. Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Manhattan and new Jersey
How much is it. Including roll off ?
What about cubic yard capacity? What are the specs of each?
15 yards. You make that choice when you are buying your truck.
How can we see this JRA truck you speak of? Im Very curious
You will be seeing it very soon!
I like COE but I don't like to be the first one at the scene of accident.
I hear you! Luckily you can’t drive fast in them or you’ll wind up in the passenger seat!
😂😂😂😂
What do you film your videos with?
I always use a go pro. This new one is an actual camera and I couldn’t tell you what it is. Never looked, had someone pre set some settings and I just click record.
Why do i feel most of these comments are bots which one is better man lol
Probably because they're telling you the answer you don't want to hear lol. What part of the country are you in? Do you service cities?
Yeh kinda located in broward county FL
What the best place to dump in Boston area?
Nowhere! The city of Boston does not allow private waste anywhere.
Do you need a contractor license for small demolition jobs?
You do not as long as it is not structural work.
How much did the NRR run you?
Arm and a leg
Where you been Bro? Feels like forever since you posted.
Workin' brother.
@@SteveConroy1 glad to hear business is good. It’s nice to have a loyal fan base too 😄
@@robertneblett4477 100 percent! Love seeing all of the comments and familiar accounts!
Is the nrr 4 wheel drive
I wish!
What would you recommend for someone that is to the point they need to upgrade from there utility trailer I have a option of buying a 02 f550 with the dump bed or a dump trailer
How much you charge to do Google ads
You guys located in Austin
MA
You forgot to mention if you crash in a Izusu you’re pretty much toast or crippled for life at the very least lol
I am an extremely defensive driver and train my guys to be as well. There are certain “risks” you need to take in all walks of life. Buying a cab over is not something I consider a risk as we are focused on creating a business
Isuzu
Do your drivers need to have medical cards ?
I picked up a f550 . Is that too big of a truck
I don't think so, I am going to get one also
Fords generally suck! Isuzu all the way!!!
