    He does such a great job. He and Cruz are great together; both are very meticulous and articulate, and like to dive deep in the technical aspects. Meanwhile, Rogan and DC are great together (I know it's apple to orange) because both are jolly and like to joke around.

    • @xDangerxz
      @xDangerxz Před 4 lety

      Spot on. Cruz overanalyzes sometimes tho especially when he delves into the psyche of fighters and tries to say what's going on in their heads.

    ESPN doesn't show the corners in between rounds anymore and cut to commercials so they brought him in to give an account of what was said in the corners.

      Ryan McGuire The US doesn’t get to hear the corners? In England we get to watch the corners so for me he does just repeat what I’ve already heard a lot of the time

      His current role is pointless, but he's an incredible analyst. I hope the UFC puts him on the actual broadcast team; him/Anik/Rogan or him/Anik/DC would be such a knowledgeable commentary.

    Am i the only one that finds his coach thoughts bit on ufc broadcasts redundant? He basically states the obvious and his enunciation sounds so affected as well. Why dont get other coaches to speak like havier, duke roufus, jackson, dean thomas or faber even

    • @kreed82
      @kreed82 Před 4 lety

      @Ruben Philips forgot faber was un-retired however whats the difference between an active fighter giving commentary and an active fighter giving his thoughts on coaching?
      As far as your other point how the hell do you know other coaches would give the same answers before hearing them and when they have different styles? Take jason parillo or cezar gracie, there is no way they would approach the job as lazy as this guy does because they have different personalities. And that is all i am asking for a fresh perspective. I dont know why wittman has been lauded as the expert we must hear from but hes annoying

    Not a fan of him on the broadcasts. Nothing personal against him. His cadence is annoying. He sounds like Mr. Rogers teaching preschoolers about MMA. It comes off as him talking down to the audience.
