Outstanding video - thanks for the detailed time lapse in particular, and the focus on the fitment issue. Also, you're the first (that I've seen) that highlights the removal of the oil cooler lines. I will tackle this project on my Grand Sport this weekend with some American Racing Headers + "Long" Exhaust system.

There is a lot of talk of Texas Speed Headers on Corvettes, not fitting well. This video is proving other wise.My cats just failed,09 ZR1,they are super expensive.GM is making us buy the 2012 ZR1,cats & down pipe now, with a new X pipe, with 2 more cats on them, the down pipes will not bolt up to the 09-011 ZR1 factory X pipe anymore, they reversed the flanges on Xpipe & down pipe ends, for all 2012 c-6 corvettes.Great video,i am going for this Texas speed kit,for my 09 ZR1.

These sound awesome and for the price you literally can't beat them. I have an 06Z and a buddy that also has a Z was saying that I would need a special bracket to hold the transmission lines out of the way of the headers so that you don't burn them. Have you noticed those getting hot or any issues at all regarding these news headers? Thanks in advance! Ohh and please keep positing vids on this beast man.

From what I have seen the header wrap always dries out and breaks down. It leaves the engine bay covered in flakes of insulation dust. Other option is to have them heat treated but its expensive and the results don't seem to justify the cost. As long as the fitment is good and you ensure nothing will contact the headers then there is no need to worry.
