"Successful" Assault by the Russians, Donetsk region. The enemy deployed T-72B and T-62MV tanks

- The Ukrainian unit "Shadow" shared footage of another "successful" Russian assault on Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy deployed T-72B and T-62MV tanks to storm the settlement. They were accompanied by infantry on MT-LB armored personnel carriers. The vehicles were modified by adding open landing compartments. Advancing behind the tanks, the APCs moved towards the Ukrainian positions but they encountered resistance as Ukrainian military units opened heavy artillery fire on the enemy convoy. The Russian occupiers quickly changed the course when the shelling intensified, resulting in some MT-LB armored personnel carriers colliding with each other while retreating. Ukrainian forces targeted the Russian tanks and APCs throughout the skirmish, compelling the Russian infantry to withdraw from the battlefield rapidly. However, some occupiers tried to dig holes under the damaged armored vehicles and take up positions there.

At least that vehicle didn't have a pre-made bonfire strapped to it. If wood made for acceptable armor on vehicles, it would have been there from the factory sometime in the past 100 years of extensively funded tank development.

The truth is that Crimea should have been allowed to hold a referendum on the subject prior to 2014: we actually will never know now whether Crimea wanted to be part of Ukraine, part of Russia, or if they wanted independence. With Russia's interference since, there will never be a way to actually answer that question.
And Ukrainians assuming Crimea wanted to be part of Ukraine when Ukraine wouldn't even grant them a referendum only aggravates nations who were forced to fight for our independence from the British Empire (Ireland, America, India), or the Spanish (Sweden, Netherlands, Portugal, Hungary, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela), or the Ottomans, (Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania), etc etc etc!
Making these statements is not helpful: better to let sleeping dogs lie.

Those advancing in a straight line are Russians. This explains why Russians have from 4 to 7 times Ukraine's losses.
