  • Take a trip around Pat Callinan's new 4x4 project featuring the KegLand Benchy Carbon.
    This worlds first inline chiller that is a truly portable keg dispensing option allowing you to chill draft beer from 12-24 DC power supply. Perfect for camping, off grid or dispensing beer from vehicle or solar system.
    This is the worlds most compact inline keg chiller ever manufactured with a crazy small footprint of 233mm x 400mm.
    This unit has approximately 150watts of cooling power meaning you can chill about 8L of beer per hour (based on 20degree ambient temperature). Please be aware we recommend that after every 500ml dispensed you should allow approximately 2 minutes to recover. If you are looking for a Bench top dispenser with higher capacity we recommend the Benchy Glycol which is an even more powerful and is able to dispense more than 3 times more product.

    Did you look at alucab canopy camper ? With built in RTT ?

      I am sure it would work well with that too. The alucab canopy camper is also a great option.

    I see there is a similar product to benchy that doesn’t require gas. Has a built in compressor

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  Před 12 dny

      That one pumps air into the keg. The issue with that is that the beer will go stale in about 24hrs so you have to drink the whole keg really quick. Alternatively the one with inbuilt compressor is ok if you are using kegs with a bladder but very few kegs have bladders in them. Pretty much you are limited to Keykeg or Talos kegs if you do that.

    So where do you get the beer from? Can you get the kegs pre filled with a commercial beer, Heineken or something similar?

    • @Christoph1888
      @Christoph1888 Před 4 měsíci +1

      You can just buy commercial kegs from breweries and distributors. Some large bottle shops also sell them. You just return the keg when it's empty and buy another one. You can also buy your own corny keg (empty keg used in home brewing), they are 19 litres as opposed to 50. Some small craft breweries will fill them for you on the spot with whatever they have on hand (The big breweries won't do that with commercial beer). Neither are cheap options which is why people homebrew. With a bit of practice you can make craft quality beer for about 10% of what you pay at the shop.

      @@Christoph1888great answer! I would also like to add that beer kits are an easy entry into brewing. Stir some syrup in some water, add yeast and wait about a week. I am currently enjoying a Mangrove Jack's Juicy Session IPA, and i am amazed at the cost per pint compared to commercial craft beer.

      @@KegLand it might be a novel way for some however myself and the vast majority would be prioritising essential gear, equipment and supplies over the additional space and weight of hauling around a kegerator and beer keg that sensibly is not required. A slab of beer in my camping fridge is more
      than enough👍
