"What's cooking today?"-Dominic Sales 2024
New intro 🔥
"im going to give you a slice of this tiggly smelly jelly"
I'm loving the extended metaphor of the spatula in your videos
i'm gonna cook tomorrow
babe wake up, mr salles has gone crazy
did not think that the normally serious mr salles would say the sentence " tigloos love to tiggle" in a video! Thanks for your video
can you actually use fictional words like "tiggle" and do you advise to be this playful or should we be more serious?
Only be playful if it fits your writing, not just for the sake of it.
ngl i was cackling over the story
'I could hear her tiggling towards me'
the world building is insaneeeee
we're making it out of the tigloo with this one 🔥🔥
this was creative
Can you please do 'English language paper 1 tomorrow, don't worry'?
Yes
YES PLEASE DO!
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish I've come to love watching those videos day before the exam 😄
@@leenamakkawi6074 Same! I tend to forget everything so these ave helped loads
How can I focus in the exam when all I think about is you and your spatula cooking 🔥🔥
You’ll cook up a masterpiece
The spatula motif is advancing in the Mr Salles universe
Mr Salles, you are the best teacher of all time, these videos are both insanely helpful and very enjoyable, you are the only reason I might do well in english, Thank You
Wow, thank you! Good luck
7:51 that is a cold transition sir!
Good luck everyone tomorrow for english language! Get refreshed relaxed and remember, you got this exam! Give them all you got!
👍
Yo Mr Salles genuine question here do you tend to lose a bunch of subscribers after english GCSEs are over and gain a bunch coming up to GCSEs?
Thank you Chef Salles 🙏
i love the spatula- you’re such an icon ❤️
From Ricky .Thank you so much Mr Salles.I did my retake ,one year on for paper two yesterday. It has been a pleasure and even my dad enjoyed watching the CZcams videos covering English language. I did the questions in order on paper two 531 and then two followed by four. even Dad said “I bet you wish you had this guy for your English teacher”. it would be a guarantee pass.Again! thank you Mr Salles.
I hope you get the grade this time
I love this approach and think I’m going to try something similar tomorrow - after all, if it’s well written and memorable, it’s bound to make the examiner give you marks! Thank you for making these brilliant videos, Sir. Tigglers love to tiggle! 😂
Wonderful!
Liking the new intro another salles classic
I think u may have single handedly given me the push I needed for this exam. Thank you teach!
great work chef the meal was full of knowladge
Thank you for everything, love that spatula!
mr salles can i get a slice of tiggly smelly jelly if i get a 9

Sir you are the best English teacher of all time! You saved me in English Literature big time, I am forever grateful for this amazing channel!😅You have taught me more than my school teacher has ever taught me! Thank you so much for your videos! (I love the spatula by the way 😊)
Glad to hear that
FRRRR HES THE REASON IM PRETTY SURE I PASSED BOTH MY ENGLISH LIT EXAMS SO THANK YOU
thank you mr salles x
Thank you Mr Salles. That means a lot to me.
Mr salles,
I wanted to say thank you as, because of this video, it encouraged me to have fun with my description for language paper 1 which i would never even think of doing! So thank you so much for making me realise that writing can be enjoyable and giving me confidence to write like this :)
Excellent!
this video helped me so much with my exam earlier today, thank you for your videos
I think someone mighta spiked his drink
How many words should we aim for around??
Just done my language paper 1, thanks for eveything you do! It's so helpful, I feel like this went pretty well so I'm happy
Fantastic!
mr salles should i do the story or the description?
Thank you so much! This made me actually enjoy my language paper 1.
That's great!
The spatula is becoming iconic
might have to buy tickets to go to tigloo town to reset my life
Your videos are definitely the best for english on yt. No doubt. Not sure what thr tigloo thing was about but i guess thats just part of creative writing and standing out. Also
What was the music at the end? Its familiar and i'd like to know the name.
Mr salles you are the 🐐 just know that
I'm planning to do the story, but use the picture as inspiration
Thank you very much Mr Salles! You saved me today, love your videos sir 🫡
Glad to hear it!
yo mr salles, can i send u an answer i did for this paper for my mocks. It would be decent to unpick
can you go through what to do for english language paper 1 like literature paper 2 also subscribed :)
do you mark for aqa??
thank you sir love your videos
This video was very helpful. But, could I query if writing as a host would be difficult in a more moody/eerie picture? And if it isn’t, how would you suggest going about it?
You are shooting a horror film on location, and showing round the cast …
when was the last time u went outside sir r u ok
Is Spatula Productions taking applications?
Wouldn’t the narrator speaking make this more of a narrative piece? Im a bit confused on how much ‘story’ I can add into my descriptive piece tomorrow.
No, a story needs lots of events. This narrator is giving a lot of description.
Thank you mr salles your videos are very helpful!
Mr Salles you are an angel
Hi Mr Salles I was wondering if in the description or story question if you use vocabulary say from another language but to fit your story for example saying Baba instead of dad is that ok or will the examiners hate me?
NO, if it is relevant to your story, they will love it
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish Ok thank you so much you've been so helpful these past two years I always enjoy watching your videos, your top grade videos have been absolute saviours so thank you 😊
Is it fine if I write in almost a story-kind format like this? Won't examiners think it is a story?
Nah blud is acc cookin up a madness, we got this God Bless
the spatula is back!!
Why is this so entertaining ?
do you think that emphatic positions of words (front and end of sentences) and tautology would be good techniques to use for this?
Not tautology
Hi sir, I have only been taught to do the description rather than the story, although I feel that I am able to do a story, what do you suggest I do?
The one you prefer
thank you king
Is this really paper 1, instead it too playfull for a GSCE
would this be worth about 40 marks and are you able to manipulate the question to allow for the tour guide feel that is given here? because this is a "narrative" as such and not a story would this still be worth the same in an exam? also your videos are a massive help thank you very much
Yes, you can do all of this
Sir I have written an essay which is only 380 words and both tilf and chatgpt gave it 37-40 marks but will I get marked down for writing less
Probably
Hi sir, I've memorised 2 contrasting weather effect paragraphs that I've practived rephrasing for my exams, would it be better to learn more?
Only if you have time.
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish what type of description would you recommend?
How many marks would this description typically get?
🤣🤣 Best 20 minutes of my life!! Can i get some tiggly smelly jelly??
do i really get mark for writing like this .
i doubt it.......
Great video sir! Only watched a bit but its already great.
My new style intro?
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglishI loveee the intro
hey sir! if i get an image like the one at the start, could i use it to have it be a Piece of art in a gallery, then zoom out to the gallery itself?
Yes
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish ty sir!
If the question was write a description of a place that is beautiful could you spend the first page writing about a place that is not beautiful and then imagine you are in a place that is beautiful which you would describe would it count?
I would start in the unbeautiful place, but keep switching to the beautiful in flashback
I’m sure I’ve done this one in class before. I knew the picture as soon as it first came on screen.
GENTS HES COOKING WITH THE SPATULA (AGAIN)
this sounds like a story can u make it alike to a story with description?
do you actually have to talk about the picture a large amount because I was thinking of getting grade 9 description of bad weather from chat gpt then do a flashback to good weather grade 9 description from chat gpt. I would talk about the picture but idk how much and I would add punctuation and cyclical structure
All methods work
Mr Salles, can my answer consist of both the description and story?
i think you can but not 100% sure. In my mocks i did the description but said how the weather outside the room was getting worse and worse so there was sort of a story i guess. Got 33/40 if i remember correctly.
@@ogp08 Oh, that's awesome. So, for instance if they give me an image of a fishing village and say "describe the image" and then the story prompt is about "unexpected friendship", could i describe a fishing village in which there are 2 parts of a village (which have a rivalry over fishing) and then i can write a story about how 1 person from each village became formed a friendship?
@@ogp08 pretty sure its only a story if there's characters that interact idk
@@labskan5334 many other students have done the same where they mix both the photo and the story so you are allowed to do so.
Damn I never knew all I needed to do to pass was do crack 5 mins before the exam starts 😂😂
Really appreciate how he is telling us what to do if we don't want to leave it to the last minute yet we are watching this a day before our exam
Isnt this kind of more of a story than a desctiption though
Do you edit your videos yourself?

sir, i dare u to cook with 2 spatulas next video!
does that count as a description because that seems like a story??
Idk what to do with my life, I was on coarse to get an 8 but for some reason I was writing so slow for 90 min for the modern text instead of 45min
And I missed the whole 36 marks of poetry UNSEEN , so now I either need to kill myself or I'm gonna remember this stupid stuff until December redos.
From a predicted 8 to a 4 because I'm to bloody slow😭😭 for literature
you dont need to resit litonly lang
How didn't you notice you were 1 hour 30 into the exam 💀💀
You’ll get higher than a 4. I failed A level French. No biggie. Life is full of opportunities
🫂i feel you buddy
dw, things will get better - life is full of opportunities
i believe in you!
In creative writing I’m planning on doing a flashback but how would i get out of it? Also if i choose to change perspective in the flashback by going from “I” and going to “we” or the other way would that be too confusing for the examiner and would it make sense to do?
Stick to only one person if it is confusing
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglishThanks! Also do you have to do all your paragraphs about the picture or could you do one paragraph on the photo and then in the other paragraphs about another picture you have in mind?
@@Emi_Em1 if the second picture is relevant to "suggested" by the first picture, that is fine
Is it always a good idea to write as a tour guide?
@Mr Salles Teaches English
If your description is not getting you top grades already
can you please do paper1 question 2 and4 please thank you
Im gonna lie this description was good
yay
Hi Mr Salles, do they ever give 2 pictures or 2 stories? Thanks
No always a picture and story
they may give a picture which u have to write a story about
Once only so far
SAVIOUR IS COOKING AGAIN
Is this AQA? Does anyone know about EDUQAS?
search it up
I thought like events and actions have to be minimal in a description.
My english teacher told me to only put actions in a story, normally id combine both mr salles and my english teacher but now Im at a crossroads, welp in mr salles we trust.
i want a mind that works like Mr Salles omg 😭😭
the spatula always carries
he has lost the plot
My plot was excellent
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish btech teletubbies carried 🗣🔥🔥
have you not turned this descriptive analysis to a story and an analysis simultaneously ? i though you cant amalgamate it ?

yayayayayay
wouldn't this be a more narrative-like piece of writing rather than descriptive? I feel like its starting to turn more into a narrative piece rather than a descriptive one
Doctor who reference
Mr Salles respectfully you have lost the plot The Tigloos love to tiggle in tigloo town
This is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣
