Good luck for tomorrow guys - adored the story. It's great to cram all my revision into the last few hours of the night before (just like every other exam)
Technically, it's more efficient to cram right before the exam since you wouldn't forget what you revise, unlike if you study before hand. Your brain is fresh for the exam and can actively retrieve what you have covered quickly.
POV:you started revising now.. good luck to all you guys
lol good luck to you too .we can do this
good luck!
I just started
Its tomorrow
Its midnight
I used the plot of this story for my GCSE edexcel this year
Thank you so much, I am much more confident and believe I have done quite well
AMAZING! What was the EDEXCEL question?
@@FirstRateTutors unexpected
@FirstRateTutors how can I use this plot for a description pls answer
To write about a time when something unexpected happened
are you allowed to use other peoples stories in the exam? i have mine next year and i thought it would be classified as plagiarism to use it or write many of the phrases she used
Good luck yall. And be positive and im sure we will all do good init 😊👍

Thank you! We did a mock exam of this paper and after i'd watched this video i got 27/40! I believe this is pretty good for my first time. Although sadly i had to skip Q4 in favour of Q5 meaning i missed out of 20 marks which affected my grade. I got a 4, and i believe if i manage my time better netx time i could reach a 6/7
100% and if time keeping is an issue - complete the exam backwards (start with Q5, then Q4, Q3, Q2& Q1) 😊
thank you, this is so helpful!
this helped me revise for my 2024 exam thanks!
Thank you I totally had forgot about the structure form for these stories ❤
You're welcome! 😃
Thank you so much for this video
Thank you!!!
Very useful, thankyou so much

Thank you for this video!!
You are so welcome! 😊
Can you do a video about description writing please
love your videos! i really want to know if this AQA spec kinda method can be applied to edexcel spec. im mainly asking because 99% of vids on yt are for aqa so it would be so helpful to know that i can apply the same methods for my own exam board and still get a 9! :) :)
I am cooked
good luck i am so last minute too

Loooooooooooooooool
Could you please do some descriptions?Xx
thankk you
bro wrote ''ran as quickly as a cheetah'' and says this is a good response
Is it not one ?
@@osatomwenmuisaac894 I personally find it very cliché which is a red flag that I examiners look for. I have just finished year 11 and received 9's in both so you take your pick on what to use. Use your own intuition of what a good answer looks like.
@@osatomwenmuisaac894 No, this is a grade 5-6 answer I'd say. You need to be using complex vocabulary, metaphors, and language devices. However, I would recommend doing the description question as it uses less time (you don't have to plan a plot) and you can go more in depth in techniques. Good luck if you've still got your GCSEs!
@@emilia732can I do the descriptive photo one? Is that a good one to choose?
@lukie9936 I would say definitely since there are so many things in the picture you can go in depth describing. It also doesn't really require much of a structure like a story would so you can save time there. You can still get high marks though, I got a 9 for my literature and I did the descriptive question. Hope this helped!
Useful
I can not lie this story should be turned into a book.
LOL!!
Very useful Thank you very much😊.
You're welcome!
Was ok thx💪
Wrote this for my mocks got 32 outta 40 ty
AMAZING!
Can you give some idea for the descriptive picture as well
Hi. Do you have other questions of this 2023 paper ? 1 and 2? Many thanks
Mr bruff does some he helped me build my grades
Can you do a video about modfizied cloze 1 and 2 thanks
Im cooked and gonna cry.

We cqn do it
you’ll do well. revise before bed and skim through notes on the way to school.
if all goes wrong, there’s no harm in resitting. you have so many chances to re do it in the future. ignore what everyone says, it’s not shameful at all.
you’ll do fine
Its ntd, waffling is a very useful tool. You can get at least a 6 with educated waffle.
you got this bro ily
Hi, how can I download the phrases you said in the video ????
I used her methods in my last year exams, I scored an A. I am a D at best a C student. ❤
Well done luv
Thank you 😊
I pray everyone passes on here
how long did this take you to write
Have you covered all of english language paper 1 and paper 2 on ur yt, i'm stressed as hell
Hi 😊 I would like to see English Language Paper 2 2023 Exam Q5 Article Model Answer 🙏 🙏 🙏.
how many pages do you thing to write?
How should you end question 5?
I have been away from education for a long time, plus English is not my first language, would I be able to do this 😢 I just started GCSE last week, exam board with Aqa it's so scary
Please what book would you recommend to enhance my vocabulary?
thesaurus
I have year 9 end of ear exam tmr and i have to write a story about a thunderstorm, its out of 40, can anyone help pls??
I have my English language exam in a few days and I’m so nervous I don’t know how to stop these bad emotions in my head do u have any tips
Just plan 2 answers before so you can change it for the exam
will it be plagirism however to spell it if i memorise this
Probably yes especially if they see the same story over and over it’s better to keep the technique but change the story a bit
Any chance you can do my exam for me?
Can you help me on year 6 days please
heyy would you recommend doing the story or description
Story - you have more room to shift and change different points in your narrative. Descriptive is a little more restricting.
Do we not need to add a range of punctuation
You do but don't overdo it.
Should I use a paragraph for each of the 5 steps?
YES
Where can i get model answers, for question 5?
The model answer page on the website: www.firstratetutors.com/shopfrt
@@FirstRateTutors thank you 😊
Wait is it ok to add dialogue aswell?
yea obviously as this is a narrative response
its not recommeded as it can be too complicated in the time.
Am I allowed to memorise this and write it for my exam?
Yes
noooooo if the examiners pick it up for plagiarism then they might disqualify you so you can’t get your grade and there’s also a change big chance that this won’t be the question that they ask in the exam
@@embersgone Uh now idk if i should or not cuz the exam is sooo soon and i need a good story
@@ButterflyZzz7 word
You can try, but honestly, it's not worth it as, I'm 99% sure they are not going to ask this question. However, I recommend you to just memorise the structure, followed by lots of sophisticated words that you can use for your story -- Include vocabulary for the main themes: Thriller, horror, adventure/discovery and the rescue life task. If you know the structure and lots of strange descriptive words, you will be fine.
I really don't want to be rude but this story is not 40/40... It sounds like something I would write in year 6. Too many adjectives and they are not very sophisticated, also childish onomatopoeias in a GCSE 'grade 9' answer are a no for sure. Like I said, I don't want to hate because your channel was helpful when I was doing literature but please just consider this as constructive criticism.
u said it brother
I agree. It’s simplistic and I have lost interest halfway through the first paragraph.
You wish your pen sounds as hers when you writing imaginatively. Stop hating.
@@masooddawoodzai2187 stfu and stop glazing her shit story, its terrible and if u write smth like this ur getting a 3 at best it rlly is a year 6 level response
@@masooddawoodzai2187they literally said they're not hating 🤦♀️

Lol same
Same 😢
Was this in 45 minutes
Does this matter if I’m Edexcel?
Not really... a story is a story so this example can be used for any exam board 😊
Can i write a nonfiction story or it should be a fiction
NEVER non-fiction for Paper 1, Q5 - ALWAYS fiction.
Bro 💀
What does B,B,P,R,E mean?
beginning, build up, problem, resolution, ending
Hi there my teacher tells me not to use onomatopoeia because im a high level I dont know why? 5:52
It’s quite a weak and boring thing that doesn’t do much
she means not to use it excessively . the lady in the video only used it once or twice which is good for higher marks .
is this for edexcell
i don’t think it matters
but its aqa ive done it

It gets like that sometimes
I’m really bad at creative writing I’m so scared
try reading a book and picking up ur vocab from there, or maybe even jumping straight to attempting paper 1 q5 with a book next to u. maybe some ideas from a book can inspire a different plot in ur writing, while you keep ur own style of writing. sounds like a silly technique but try it!
im really bad at creative writing myself (sat my gcses like 4 years ago) but want to resit like next year maybe so i might try this
Rip to me
I dont wanna be rude but if you add too many adjectives then it feels too childish
Yeah i thought so too before so i know what you mean but it really helps maximum marks (in my case)
I’m not sure how this helped as she wrote like 7 pages you will never have that long watch mr everything English he is way better
this video was bad dont watch it
amen
Am I the only one who gets 8/9s with 2 hours of revision?
No
