Professor Bruce Hood demonstrates the McGurk Effect on the audience. The McGurk Effect shows how our perception of what we hear is influenced by what we see such as the movement of people's lips when they speak. Try silently mouthing 'elephant juice' next time you see someone; what do they think you are saying?
