- PNW Loam Lever Install. I received this PNW Loam Lever Dropper Lever as a Christmas Present to replace the stock lever on my 2018 Giant Reign 2. Watch as I install the lever, which I think is a great replacement for the stock lever.

the stock giant lever is designed to be compatible with a front mech lever, hence why it's high up!

hi I just did this swapped same giant dropper level for the same style lever, in my case for various reasons.. i.e. I got it for free.. it was a Giant branded lever in this style.. The free Giant one I got is fine it doesn't have the I spec mounts and is in general not quite as nice as that PNW loam one.. but for free it is a lot better than stock one.

@@ToogyHowser It felt alright but it wasn't as smooth. I was swapping out the cable housing and decided to order a new lever while I was at it. (I had more money at the time too 😂)

3:29 no need to cut it, you could use pliers instead, I do that from time to time, I clamp it loose basically.

Great video you cleared up what i was wondering about when i order my loam lever. Matching it up to my slx br7000 i-spec II.quick question. Can you order the lever with just the i spec II attachment or do i order it as you did with the standard clamp and have to purchase matchmaker separately as you did
you can order it with the lever, I kinda messed up when I ordered and had to order it separately!

yeah if your cable is in good shape, no need to replace it.

I think the dropper mount that attaches to your brakes is supposed to go off to the left for the left side. I think you used the mount of the right handlebar.

Which model did you use to replace the Giant remote? I have the same original remote. Was it the ISpec II?
yes I used the ispec II mount, worked great with the stock brakes on the Reign!
I noticed the mastercraft tools. Did you get all or most of your tools at Crappy Tire?
Well being in Canada that is kinda unavoidable haha, most of them are pretty decent especially if you get them on sale!

Nice video. I'm just curious though, with that setup seems like you would not have nowhere near the adjustment ability between the two levers as you do when they're separate? I want to say that lever that was on your bike first was set up for a front derailleur dropper post lever I think. So you could have front derailleur shifter and the dropper post above that and reach them both with your thumb. But this is all just a guess LOL.
