Very smart to place a pool noodle over your carbon ceramic rotor that way you don’t accidentally chip it.

They come with the car when you order the ceramic brakes. Instructions included indicating you should use them every time you remove or install the wheels.

I have been looking all over for a video on C8 brake bleeding that showed a successful outcome. Forums discuss the pitfalls however, yours is the first showing a successful outcome. Am I correct in understanding that with pressure bleeding you do not need to depress the brake pedal, just open the bleeder? I don't have a Z06 so curious as to which bleeder to open first? Thank you.

Yes that is correct. The pressure bleeder is acting as your foot. Start with the inside bleeder then work out since that's the first channel in from the line

Like an idiot I removed the battery panels but forget to disconnect the battery before I started bleeding. The FOB WAS in the vicinity of the car. Realized it a couple minutes in and disconnected it. After I finished the bleeding I noticed there was a check engine light. I test drove the car and everything seemed to be braking normally, including braking hard enough to engage the ABS. I cleared the check engine light with a bluetooth OBDII reader and still so far so good. Do you have any idea what might have happened/could have happened because of this error?

So you didn't have any issues with air or codes? Did you disconnect the battery the whole time you pressure bled? Several other videos have shown issues with codes and such. I'd love to upgrade my z51 to the AP brakes but I'm worried about running into issues doing the work myself, there's almost zero support here in Germany.

0 issues on both my Z06 and my Stingray previously. Battery needs to be disconnected the whole time. I had APs on my Stingray with zero issues as well.

@@gearedmedia1 thanks for the feedback! Last question...I use the same Motiv power bleeder but have had bad experiences with their master cylinder tops, the "nissan" did not fit my Nissan very well and was a bear to remove. Did you experience that? Can you link me to the exact part you used for the C8?

@@gearedmedia1 Yupp, they had two kits, 1118 with the red cap and 1108 with the black cap. Looks like you're using the 1108 kit so I'll try that one!
