Nice! I need to shoot a playthrough of this too (and a one minute overview video)! It is a pretty brutal game though lol Love the artwork! So beautiful!
I’m glad you liked my artwork :)
Thank you for the play through. I am definitely going to be on the lookout for this game.
I finally got my copy so I have been watching playthroughs. Great Job, The Computer game you mentioned was "Titanic Adventure out of time" ( I played that game so much) I also Saw the artifact thing when it was touring
I. Can. Not. Wait. For my copy to get here.
It’s a winner for sure. Especially for solo gamers.
That was a lot more fun than I thought a Solitaire variant would be. Nice playthrough, I might buy it!
Those were our exact thoughts!
This is a pretty brutal game. I wasn't aware there was another printing of it available. I had to get mine used a few years ago to get a copy. Thanks for the play through!
Yah ......their taking F'n forever to get the reprint out........ it's coming up on a year on my Pre-order
Love this!
Thanks, we really enjoy this one!
I beat it once solo, but have lost all other times. Its definitely challenging. Great playthrough!
We beat it once as well after we played and lost like 5 times in a row.
Thank you for the Playthrough! Just played it for first time last night and had a query about the rule that states you can place 2 passengers of the same number together on the same line (eg: a second class passenger with number 6 can be put on another second class passenger with number six on the line)… we tried it on the lines which helped us place cards, however, can you double-up like this when moving to lifeboats? Or is it just one of each number in the lifeboat? Also, can I move the doubles together to another line? (Eg: if I have 8,7,7,6,5 can I move them all underneath a 9 on another line, or do I have to stop at the first 7 and leave the other 7,6,5 where it is?)
Sorry if that doesn’t make sense! I couldn’t see a resolution in the rule book!!
Thank you in advance for any advice on this!
This was Rahdo's second favorite solo game of all time FWIW. Look forward to getting the reprint.
Interesting. Second to Shadowrun Crossfire?
@@AntLabGames It was second to Marvel Champions. However, this was as of Aug 2021, so not sure if there was an update since then. It was from his video entitled, "Top 10 Solo Games Revisited." He mentioned this game had a nostalgic element for him because his dad taught him to play Klondike Solitaire, so that may be why.
Or was it the Olympic...?
Can't wait to get my hands on it!
It says in the rule book that you can never decide to take more cards than are available in the remaining stack. So I don’t think you can , if there are only two left, decide to take five, take the two then shuffle and take three more to make your five. You can only take two. Also I think at least once, when one of you failed to place passengers and then you had to shuffle the passenger deck, you only turned the page once when you should have turned it twice. At least that’s the way I understand it. 🙂 love your videos!
Haha it’s such a tough game to win. Maybe we were hedging our bets 😂 Thank you for watching!!
@@AntLabGames it is tough to win!
15:02 You missed that you had a second class 16 in your hand and could have put it on the to of the deck to play onto the second class 17 already on the board, which would have let you play the second class 15 onto it. Great run through, I should get this game back out and play it. I've owned the original French version of the game for years, it is a lot of fun. Of course at 15:40 you drew the 2nd second class 16 in the deck, so it sort of worked out alright, just a little deeper into the deck than you needed to be.
Yep missed that. I’ve done this plenty when playing regular solitaire.
I have a sinking feeling about this game
Have to play 'Deckchairs On The Titanic' first....
Good idea!
played 10% of a game. boxed up for sale. no agency like you have on solitaire.
Sometimes it nice to see a variation on solitaire instead of the same old game.
Ok......the game designer married the right solitaire game to this Theme and then some. The Solitaire game is inherently hard and prone to failure......the sinking of the Titanic was a colossus failure......so, and unlike the solitaire game where you either win or lose, the Theme allows you to "win" even while losing with the Scoring mechanic....if you get higher than 19 you managed a "win" by getting more passengers off the ship than the historical count......so some gratification out of a tragical historical event. In this I disagree with the comment that hand slaps us for playing a game that plays off a tragedy. Every playthrough I have seen of this game the player is so concerned in getting as many off the doomed ship that they ignore getting the anchor points. A game that produces that amount of compassion cannot altogether be bad now can it?
The component quality is a focus on this reprint and addition that hit the bullseye!......now if they would just hurry up and mail my Pre-order!
Great summary!
I love the game.....but check this out..here's a funny querk of this game...the Designers of the game put the men at the high numbers and the women and children first into the Lifeboats by low number order....but consider this.....the Nun is a 15....😳....yep a 15. So some possibilities with this......the Nuns died for God or God was ticked off that the designers of the Titanic said God himself could not sink her, and decided to take the Nuns as no vessel for appeal. Or the Nuns should have known better than to get on the Titanic.....😂😂😂.....or lastly the Designers of the game are Atheists and gave the 🖕🏻 to God and decided to not give the Nuns a chance for rescue 😳
Seems like an inappropriate theme to base a game on a tragedy, but hey each to their own.
There are a bunch of games based on tragedy. I don’t think we want to constrain theme in this hobby any more than people are already trying to do. Imagine if this were applied to the movie industry…
@@AntLabGames Any media that trivialises human suffering for the sake of entertainment should be discouraged.
Yep let's not base any games on war either or crime or murder , it's just a game that's all.
Then don’t buy it…simple.
"To each their own" is very true. So why did you violate that rule by voicing your judgemental, sanctimonious, and unsolicited opinion on the matter?
