I want to see more layer cut, just the way you’re explaining in this video.
Long layers PLEASE. Like, long hair but the layers are are an inch or two away from the length. I was never taught this in cosmetology school 😭
Would love to see a simple approach to seamless long layers.
Heidi Bogan yes, I would love to. Thank you so much.😊
@@nikochic4236 Great idea, we'll keep this in mind when planning future videos.
I use to think that I was slow or could never understand hair cutting, this is the ONLY video I can understand. You were very detailed, and gave Rationales in Layman’s terms while still using proper terminology. Thank you!!!
You are so welcome. So happy to hear you found this video helpful ☺️
I feel like it's never going to click for me :(
Omg me too
@@susanmoline3639You will!! Not everyone learns the same way or gets it the first time. Don’t give up keep trying.
@@susanmoline3639practice makes perfect.
I don’t know if he makes it look easy, or is just an amazing teacher, but after watching this I feel like I can confidently cut someone’s hair. Thanks for the informative video!
Thank you so much, Emily!
My friend is trusting me to cut her hair before she goes to a wedding. I've cut her hair before, but the stakes were never this high. This was immensely helpful, thank you!
Thanks for sharing, Amelia! We hope your friend's hair and the wedding are both a success!
This is one of the best and easier videos I’ve watched to comprehend Haircutting. Thank you soo much! the logic and understanding the “why” behind each step, allows me to be more intentional.
Glad it was helpful! You are so welcome! There are many more to come, make sure to subscribe so you don't miss any!
@Kenraprofessional. I'm the straightest, whitest, most masculine, conservative man in the world. And I just used your tutorial to cut and layer my 5 year Olds head. Your tutorial is amazing she looks amazing and I just saved So much headache. And my baby girls hair. You, sir , are incredible. Thank you for this tutorial.
Why was the introduction needed lol (respectfully)
@@delicious_milkshake9342 he needed to make sure people know how masculine he is
You needed people to know how manly man macho you are lol? 😂
I felt very uneasy about hair cutting (I’m a cosmo student) because once you cut that’s it. There’s no going back 😂 this video has brought me A LOT of ease. So easy to understand. I take my basics final tomorrow and hopefully this helps on the cutting portion. THANK YOU! ♥️💕
Yay! Thank you so much, Kaylyn!
How did u go? I bet you did great 😊
@@NMW80 I passed! And for the first 2 weeks of being on the floor they ONLY gave me haircuts lol so I’m definitely a lot more comfortable with hair cutting. At this point I’ve done haircuts, manicures, pedicures, perms, prom do’s, facials and eyebrow waxes.
@@kaylynmarie8246 yay good for you hun 👍
@@kaylynmarie8246 YOU GO GIRL !!!! YAY !!✂✂
I ABSOLUTELY love how professional you were in this video😍!!!

Yay! Thanks for watching, Leila!
I’m cutting hair at home - and I followed your instructions with great success. I have watched other videos but this was my most successful attempt at cutting my girls’ hair.
Hi! Do you cut your own hair? I would love to learn that, but not sure if it is even possible..
@@JohnnyOrangeRainbow Yeah I followed another video to cut my own hair czcams.com/video/FAmE16ej9IU/video.html ... i didn't do the best job but i'm so happy I got rid of the dead weight. Good luck.
Hi
You just broke everything down super easy,I did a hair cert 2 & the advanced ladies had a showdown I went along to see how that did their cuts because I didn't understand where & why they cut the way they did...now I know so thankyou.
Thank you so much, Cassie! We are so glad this video was helpful!

love it!! but so cringing because those mannequins are $300 lmao
Right?! 😂
Are they really?! I have like 5 in my garage....... idk how they got there but I pull one out every so often and let my kids go to town
@@EriBarr i’ll just start praying that they’ll end up in my garage lmao
WHAT?? $300?? Not where I’m from. You can get a 22” human hair mannequin head for $35 on Amazon. I would NEVER EVER in a million years buy one for $300, nor have I ever seen one that expensive.
@@MamaKat27 lol no i mean like that actual mannequin, i can get cheaper ones haha

@@KenraProfessional my pleasure
So relaxing to watch, i wish i had him to cut my hair had a MAJOR hair trauma and really need a good cut also want something different to my normal cuts. One can dream
Thank you !!! I've been trying to find easily understandable hair cutting info that is not filled with superfluous detail/ knowledge that mostly confuses a viewer instead of teaching select techniques that stand a chance of being retrieved by my brain when it's needed.
Thanks for not dragging out overly technical descriptions to tell us why to do it each of the ways & for telling me how to cut hair right, from it's most basic knowlege level. Hopefully now I won't leave funky jagged thick edges at the bottom of my hair, bulky triangular shapes on the sides of my head (so that my hair lays like a helmet) or obviously screwed up random divots instead of nice layers. (LOL All my past sins upon my own hair.)
Many videos show someone cutting another's hair (or a mannequn's) but don't explain (in easily understandable visuals or words):
a) the different WAYS you can CUT a section of hair
b) how the DIRECTION the section is HELD IN when you cut, in relation to the head,
c) & how much TENSION it's held with, will effect the resulting cut.
You've made it clear for me what results from each cutting technique. So, if I temporarily lose my mind again (in a moment of hair disgust) & end up hacking away at my hair, there's a far better chance it won't look like a 3 year old did it to me.✂✂✂
We're happy to hear this video was so helpful! Thanks for watching Kathy!
@@KenraProfessional No problem, THANK YOU for the work of making it and the time & work it must have taken to learn all that yourself , so you could help us understand better. Great job !!

Thank you so much bro
Thank YOU for watching!
I got a haircut yesterday and my hair was like this, a lot of it and long, and the hairdresser didn’t do any sectioning. She brought everything to the front and blunt cut across the front.
It was so choppy and uneven, so I asked for layers to thin out the ends (just like this) and she ended up taking another inch off my length! I said “I didn’t think layering took off length?” And she made me feel stupid for saying that...
That’s all wrong right? 😭
Sorry you experienced this. I’ve never not sectioned while doing a haircut in 38 years.
Waoo you are great
Thank you 🙂
Great video great technics I feel abit angry now at the teacher I had during my level 2 nvq I was never taught any thing like this in so much detail, thanks for the video 😀.

You can do it! Trust the process and try it on a mannequin if you can before working on a real person. Thank you for watching!
I normally go in and make and all even cut and then go back in and point but ends or use texturizing shears . There are millions of ways to cut hair you have to find what works best for you
That's right! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic
