Heidi Horten's German husband, Helmut Horten, is widely acknowledged for building his businesses during the Holocaust, capitalizing on the pressures imposed on Jewish families to divest their business assets. Following Heidi Horten's passing, approximately 700 pieces from her jewelry collection were auctioned at Christie's.
In a just and commendable decision, it was determined that all proceeds from the auction would be dedicated to supporting medical research and various philanthropic endeavors. Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds is earmarked to benefit organizations actively involved in Holocaust education and research. So let’s explore the Most Iconic Heidi Horten's jewellery pieces

I can't believe I missed this one, too!! Heidi Horton was a huge, obsessively collected antique and fine jewelry or should I say "Nazi Thief with A Collection from Concentration Camp Prisoners and African Blood Diamonds" Very Educational and Interesting Content! Great video even if I was filled with anger. Any Video that is so good it makes you 'react' whether its awe or fury is a Great Video and makes you a Talented Producer, Director, and Editor

Thanks for your feedback. I was thinking so long, whether do I need to post this video, considering the "history" of this jewels. But I decided to post and everyone can decide by themselves is it "blood" jewellery or not.

@JewelleryPleasure Well, I believe most mined diamonds are blood diamonds. That doesn't mean you can't love and make videos about Jewelry. For all the sacrifice, I believe if it's not loved then those people (That Leopold II of the Belgians enslaved 'colonized' and raped the beauty and mines, gold, diamond, copper, elephants for Ivory of the Congo. Its horrendous. He's right up there with Hitler) That doesn't mean Heidi Horton and people like that should be celebrated, but being educated is another thing and that was your video. Bringing up the subject *was* the right thing to do. Ignoring her past associates and celebrating/praising this woman would have been, imo, in poor taste. But you did it very tactfully and respectfully 🙏 Great Job !

I think Lab Created Diamonds and Jewels are just as beautiful and are the future of Jewelry. Not mentioning how this woman amassed her collection would have been I think in poor taste. The fact that it was educational, but not praising and celebrating this woman...Well, You did the right thing imo. Unfortunately most diamonds (and you can bet every single antique diamond and jewels) are blood diamonds, but that doesn't mean we can not believe they are beautiful. Like I said, I prefer the (cheaper, moderately priced lol) lab grown diamonds and jewels. What the heck do I need a giant antique diamond necklace for? I'm no Queen !

Indeed, there seems to be a huge disparity between the pieces, unrelated to their size or weight. This being said, they are all beyond my range!

She had 3 billion from her first nazi husband's business built on Jewish slave labor. She had the means for such glutton decadence. Or it was stolen.

I am always stunned by the love of these stones. People are starving and can't afford medications, yet these rich simpletons wear them as superiority. One day, people will respect life and humanity over such silly stones.

You worry about the injustice of poor people versus the very rich when those jewels came from people who were hoping to survive the Holocaust? What about THAT injustice?

This video has such beautiful photography and showcases really wonderful jewelry, but it is a shame that so many words and names are badly mispronounced. I wonder if the narration is done by an AI program rather than an actual human being. Heidi, Cartier, epitome, marquise, graduated, Arpels, egyptomania, seventies, cabochon, Sophia and Lollobrigida are all spoken incorrectly. One would think such a well done production could have a narrator who knew how to say the words properly. I see by previous comments that I am not the only one to have noticed this.

It is EXTREMELY annoying having the CHF number splashing back and forth right over the picture of the jewelry. Just put it quietly in the corner of the screen. Otherwise, it was a good presentation.
