The Art Deco movement heralded a revolution in the realm of jewelry design. Characterized by its striking use of contrasting, and at times even clashing, colored gemstones, the infusion of robust geometric lines, and an unprecedented boldness in design, it became evident that the Art Deco jewelry movement would leave an indelible mark on the world of adornments. So let’s explore Most Iconic Art Deco jewellery pieces.

Great pieces…but this is the second CZcams channel that specializes in jewelry that doesn’t know the definition of “adorn.” The word doesn’t meant “to wear”…it means to make more beautiful…so saying that the Marchioness of Cholmondoley chose “to adorn it on two historic occasions” makes no sense. She wore it as an adornment. Or she was adorned with it….but she didn’t adorn it.
Okay great thanks for your input. But no worries our friend @JewelleryPleasure got the Memo 👍
Good point, thanks for highlighting!
The pronunciation is also weird: tutti frutti is Italian and should be pronounced as such.
It would also be more fitting if whoever is narrating this would pronounce words correctly.
Gorgeous pieces, unbearable pronunciation. Sounds like -Marchioness of Chumly. Tootie - Frootie. Please google how to pronounce stuff before launching these videos.
Absolutely love art deco jewellry, and art nouveau .
What a magnificent selection of beautiful Deco era! Congratulations! Fascinating video!
Thanks!
I have never heard tutti frutti pronounced that way.
I agree. There are several quirks in pronunciation and oddness in phrasing that make me think it might be an AI narrator.
Definitely AI
😂
Welcome to crappy AI
The jewelry is still beautiful.
Thanks for your explanation of Van Cleef’s ingenious mystery setting.
This era of jewelry is probably my favorite
Incredibly gorgeous.
The history you explain about each beautiful piece of jewelry is wonderful. I've only recently discovered your site, and I love it. The jewelry and gems are amazing. Thank you so much for displaying these gorgeous and rare pieces.
Thanks for watching!

You're so welcome.
I know, right? This Man is a Genius and he totally 'speaks my language' in regards to jewelry. He's the best ! 😊

I love this site, and the history of each beautiful piece. Knowing who made it and then who received the jewelry is fascinating. I can't get enough.
I love art deco.
This channel has become my happy place! Please keep posting!!❤❤❤❤
Thanks for your feedback! Such words give me inspiration to keep posting :)
What a magnificent period in jewelry creation. My favorite pieces are the Princess Faisa's diamond and emerald necklace, the tutti frutti collection and Heyman Brothers Bird in Flight bracelet.

That Bracelet at 0:01, the one that's in the thumbnail is just breathtaking 😍 🎉
I absolutely adore Art Deco jewellery and architecture. I would love to one day have a piece made or buy an original piece of jewellery. ❤
Paulette Goddard had a beautiful collection of tutti frutti pieces purchased for her by Charlie Chaplin. They were married but I do not know which came first the marriage, or the jewelry. I was also thinking you might show the Duchess of Windsor's spectacular Van Cleef & Arpels sapphire and diamond art deco bracelet she wore on her wedding day with her pale blue Mainbocher gown and matching headdress.
Absolutely stunning this Art-nouveau collection! Thanks for explaining about the mystery-set-technique, I will want to search and find out more about it. Yes, my favorite is the late 1920 Hummingbird Bracelet.
Always welcome! Thanks for watching

So beautiful deco jewelry 😮😊
beautiful, and elegant❤
Unique pieces❤❤
Потрясающая красота! Высочайшая работа ювелира! Обожаю арт-деко!
Thanks for amazing video God bless
Thanks!
A stunning collection of jewels. But I was distracted by the narrator's pronunciations. For instance CHALMONDELEY is pronounced CHUMLEY. The second R in Cartier isn't pronounced. He hesitated between words, showing he's reading the text and going on to the next line, i.e. King George the ... Sixth. Just saying. He is Scottish so should know. But it's a good job.
Great video
This is Everything
Besutiful nice...
There are so many mispronounced words I wonder if this is AI.
Most likely. I just turned off the sound and switched to closed captioning, which has its own annoyances...LOL!
The author may not be a native English speaker.
As one who has traveled extensively, I am open to different accents and I can comprehend accordingly.
Unici ed emozionanti
Could some of the people here give a break to the narrator, and simply thank him for his videos ?
🤗
@@JewelleryPleasure Some viewers are really hopeless cases…
Thank you for your work 😉
Just because it's pronounced differently than you doesn't make it wrong! Stupid comments for pronunciations
I collect costume jewelry that look like these pieces.
How do you explain the order of the art deco emerald necklace from Van Clef Arpels dated Paris 1908?
That’s pronounced tooti frooti to you sir
Beautiful choices these are examples of the zenith of Art Deco jewelry great job.. I don't really care to educate you on pronunciation it adds a certain charm to the videos ❤❤❤ Please do another video focused on jewelry from this period it was wonderful ❤❤❤
Thank you very much for your feedback!
I don't think the appalling pronunciation adds anything but cringe to the video, but I agree that the jewellery itself is stunning.
@@monicawarner4091 it's not as bad as someone who says 'cringe' 😬
@@marzipom5630 • You have a better word to replace it?
Beautiful ❤
Unique gems
Absolutely wonderful, thank you very much.😅
Thanks for watching!
I'm soooooo grateful I've discovered your channel today .... = excellent content 🤩 I've subscribed immediately !! ❤💙🩵💜💚 from Germany !!!
Thank you for subscribing! 🙏
Absolutely love Tutti Fruiti!
Amazing art & creative
the square but smooth top Sapphires are known as 'sugar loaf' cuts.
🤩
I saw a Cartier exhibit in San Francisco a few years ago. Sorry, but the Tutti Frutti made thousands and millions of dollars worth of precious gems look like the type of gaudy, colorful costume jewelry a 5 year old would want in her "dress up" box.
I can agree with you from some perspective. They rather looks creative pieces, than precious
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Pave’’’’’’’’ You pave a road, Pavee’ (e runs with a French accent ), is platinum set with diamonds that look like a diamond road.
TOOti TOO tee tutti fruiti all the fruit!❤
I quite agree . There is NO excuse for mispronunciation!!!
What's with the pronounciation in this video? Great looking jewelry--WOW! But the pronounciation of tutti frutti is all I"ll remember from this video.
The way a word is mispronounced every 3 seconds makes this humorous as much as interesting
Tell the Scot, tutti fruitie is pron tootsie frootie!! Suzette
It is pronounced *tootie frootie..C'MON!
It's "Ar-PELLS" bit "Arples"
PEOPLE:: TUTTI FRUTTI==
TOOTY FRUITY.
Tooti-fruiti! Ar 'pel, are a couple of word pronunciations I take issue with.
Kisss...
Tootie Frootie
TOOTI FROOTI!!!! ARRRRGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop the Tuti Fruti! Arrrrrgh!!!!!!!!!! :)

Task 16
What is task 16?
It's pronounced TOOTY FRUITY., not tutee fruteee
THe pronounciation of Tutti Frutti....has me howling 🤣🤣🤣🤣
THIS IS REAL JULERY. TODAY IS ALL SHIT. UNCHAIN MY HARTH, I AM STILL THERE.😢
Its "two-T , fru-T! Your saying it wrong!!
and learn the pronunciation of cholmondeley
Interesting video, but your pronunciations of many words and terms are not correct. Perhaps you are a robot with a Scottish accent?
It's Tooti fruiti not tutti fruti gee whiz
Niemann Amar Massarati'
the massacre of the language made this unbearable.

Learn the pronunciation of collier, fluidity, Zeitgeist, tiara, pear.
And tutti frutti
most likely AI voice.
Chalmondeley is pronounced Chumley
Good Video....but the commentator, should really learn how to say "Tutti Fruity".
Tuttie Frutti, no. It is pronounced Tootie Fruiti.
The mispronunciation of so many words spoilt what would have been a really interesting film. A great pity.
Learn how to pronounce tutti frutti
And Cartier.
I'm pretty sure this is an AI voice.
It would be nice if the narrators learned the correct pronunciations.
Poor pronunciation, narrator
Hay, I am digging the Scottish dialect, but not the fact that it is AI that can’t pronounce Van Cleef and Arpels, or Cartier, or Tutti Frutti. Please, if you must use AI narrative, review for mispronunciation before you post it.
Seriously? You are showing these magnificent gems with an AI voice describing them? It is so distracting.
Really, not even pronouncing "tiara" correctly? Or "pear"? Really?
I wish the person narrating this program would learn the correct pronunciation of the words and names he's speaking, such as Car-tee-ay and Van Keef and Are-pell....
Think it’s an electronic narrator. So nany errors in the pronunciation so no to subscribing
The narrative was educational, though. Many jewellery channels just show you the pieces without a word of comment.
Yep, AI pronunciations.
Hate it.
I always block channels using AI.
This one included.
Good photo examples but the narrator’s pronunciation is off on several occasions which makes the listener cringe when watching the video.
For example, the name Arpels (as in, Van Cleef & Arpels) is pronounced as “el”, not “le” (it’s Arpels, like a jacket’s “lapel”, not like marbles, as in the games of “marbles”). You are pronouncing it “Arples”, not Arpels the way it should be.
Also, it’s Tootie Frootie, like “Toot-ie Fruit-ie”. The double oo is a long vowel sound.
If you’re going to narrate in English, please spend a second to get the correct pronunciation. It makes or breaks the whole thing.
Thanks, much appreciated.
Gorgeous pieces, unbearable pronunciation. Sounds like: Marchioness of Chumly. Tootie Frootie. Zeitgeist (Ts eye t guy st ). Please google how to pronounce stuff before launching these videos.
You are not at fault. It's an american thing. It;s pronounced. tOOtie. frOOtie. The singer Little Richard in the 50's made the term famous in his song of the same name.
Thanks for mentioning this. Was driving me potty 😀
