Thank you very much. My very first Solar Eclipse on May 30, 1984. I was 13 on had a migraine headache attack before I went to school that day. I lived in North Carolina at the time, and was one hour from where the Annular line passed in Greensboro, it occured at 12:36pm. It dimmed for a few seconds then light again. That was a 7th grade treasure.
Thanks for posting this. My 17-year-old self is somewhere in that crowd at Piedmont Park. I love that 2017 gets mentioned at the very end. It seemed like so far in the future.
Thanks for posting this. I was living outside Charlotte, about to graduate high school when the 99% annular eclipse occurred. Very cool memory of that time! Too bad I'm not in the path of totality in 2017! But it'll still be something to see!
I, was in my 7th grade math class on the eastside of Columbus, Ohio when the total eclipse took place. The math teacher at the time didn't allow the students to drop their studies and view the eclipse. So I, didn't have the chance in seeing when it was at it's total eclipse. At least next period after math class was lunch. So I, had a chance to see it near the eclipse's end. I, still can remember looking out though the class room windows when the eclipse was taking place. It became as dark as if a strong thunderstorm was moving in.
33 years later....2017 ..... oh yes 33. Thank you for the posting...the flash back was interesting!!! 1984 I was a freshman in HS.

I was 7 and I was at Piedmont Park!! Thanks for sharing!
I was right here in my home, in Cawood, KY, when the total eclipse occurred on August 21, 2017!
I am so ready for the next one in 2024 coming over Texas . 4 plus mins.
I was in the 3rd grade during the Eclipse...RIP shout outs go to Jim Axel, Paul Shields, and Jacque Maddox!!!
I had just finished the first grade at Jackson Elementary in Pascagoula, Miss. The almost-totality path just missed us. It was a great experience!

Jim Axel, Jacque Maddox, Paul Shields, all TV5 legends sadly gone
We watched in the junior high cafeteria on TVs, wouldn’t let us have recess
I was 5 years old back then
I was about to be born
Almost total lunar eclipse of the sun? That's gobbledegook by that newscaster at the start. Lunar and solar eclipses are different.
I was not in Kindergarten yet! Wtf!
