Love the high bf vocals. Especially since the soundfont used likely only goes up to a certain point meaning that most of those notes are slide notes from lower notes which takes a lot of effort. So props to the music team for taking the time out of their day to make bf hit crazy notes.

No Party: I already mentioned this in the previous video, but it's based on the "Piracy is No Party!" thing for Mario Party DS. Powerdown and Demise: Based on Mario 85', a work-in-progress horror game based heavily on Sonic: PC Port. The opponent in these two songs is MX, the main antagonist of the game. On another note, the Luigi in the background of Powerdown's name is actually Lucas. Promotion: Based on Greenio's Super Mario 64: Classified series on CZcams. The song is named after the *promo* show in this series, Nintendo Mania, with Mario as the host. The second half of the song switches the opponent to another character in the series: Stanley, who is also the main antagonist of Classified. Abandoned: Also based on SM64 Classified, but focused more about the L is Real rumor I mentioned in the previous video, though instead of Luigi suffocating in a fountain, he floats above it like a puppet on strings. Unbeatable only has one no-miss section, and it's the one you saw and the only one that's marked as such. When level 2 begins, you're safe again for the rest of the song (at least from instant death). It's actually not that bad but spamming is kind of off the table since the mod sometimes decides it wants to disable ghost tapping and that counts as a miss. Not 100% sure they kill you here though.
@@UnrealSuperSonic04 most psych engine mods actually have full and proper ghost tapping at all times with the option to disable it, at least 0.6.3 and prior from my experience. Mods where it chooses one miss style arbitrarily are usually customised for it, big ones a lot of the time. That being, said I'm just basing this off of my own feel of the gameplay rather than actual understanding of how the engine is coded. But the "randomly turning ghost tapping off" is definitely something not all mods do, even psych engine ones

Truthfully, I hope this mod gets another update. The ending feels like there's something missing or more to come. Maybe they could do something like Pico find them lost in hidden codes or something in like a sorta limbo? Idk, either way, this was fun to watch! Great stuff as usual, Merg! That first massive Mario from Demise and Powerdown is MX, different to M in that is is actually totally insane as well as being nearly unstoppable in terms of durability and raw strength.
For the record: you CAN turn Luigi mode on AND off MID-SONG by selecting the “call Luigi” multiple times. ALSO the ONLY instant death part of “Unbeatable” is the first “don’t miss” part; after that, you can miss, and you’ll be fine👍🏻
It's definitely a tonal shift to have played through the mod, playing through Unbeatable and thinking "that was a pretty cool song, and really fun charting" Never even noticed the "Don't Miss" mechanic. And then watch playthroughs that go "This is insane, way too difficult, I could not beat this in a million years!"

The scribble method on no party doesn’t work. DJ Hallyboo deals damage based on exactly how well you tracing the message. I think people started assuming this worked because DJ Hallyboo’s attack isn’t fatal, so people who are perfect at this game try the scribble method and when the hp is close to 0, they don’t miss and can build their hp back up. Additionally, the player should focus on hitting notes when they appear and abandon the message, even if it’s not finished. Well done merg!
It's not that it didn't work, it works but only during V2, in the Hotfix (2.0.1) they balanced its mechanics. It's easier to write but now it hurts based on how much you go off the edge (that is, how much you scratched on the white part)

I love friday night funkin so much. I genuinely cried at the ending. I got so attached to the happy endings of BF and GF in mods that it caught me off guard so much. BF was a brave son of a gun still fighting till the end, GF dead, no hope yet he still fought. And to that i salute you Boyfriend. You deserved better you weren’t even part of the dearest problems.

You have done everything. You can revisit the songs by freeplay as usual. But you have done everything. The only things that are left are the old version of the songs that are in freeplay, but you don't have to do those.
They could make a sequel where pico tries to escape or dd and mm go in to find out what happened to their daughter, its not like bf and gf dying signals the end

In Unbeatlable has one no miss section, the section afterwards do allow you to miss, and only the first on removes the health bar etc. The final note ends you in the middle of the health bar, making the song end in an draw, making the song still "unbeatable" As an final note: The first section has the no miss section. The second section has the zapper shooting you giving health drain every time you get shot. The third section has the fire burning your health back to the middle The fourth section has the charcaters switching and moving in resetting the health bar towards the center, with their finale pushing you back towards almost defeat
The mechanics often reference old nes games. The games were made harder by having one hit deaths, throwing something you would’ve never known about the first time around and then there’s straight up cheating.

3rd being bowser with 2 mechanics, one is the fire bar in the bottom left, knocks your health back to 50%
And the the second being the bullet bills being a distraction.

Unbeatable only has one no-miss section, and it's the one you saw and the only one that's marked as such. When level 2 begins, you're safe again for the rest of the song (at least from instant death). It's actually not that bad but spamming is kind of off the table since the mod sometimes decides it wants to disable ghost tapping and that counts as a miss. Not 100% sure they kill you here though.
it's just a Psych Engine thing, anti-spam is often found in FNF mods with this engine
@@UnrealSuperSonic04 most psych engine mods actually have full and proper ghost tapping at all times with the option to disable it, at least 0.6.3 and prior from my experience. Mods where it chooses one miss style arbitrarily are usually customised for it, big ones a lot of the time.
That being, said I'm just basing this off of my own feel of the gameplay rather than actual understanding of how the engine is coded. But the "randomly turning ghost tapping off" is definitely something not all mods do, even psych engine ones

Truthfully, I hope this mod gets another update. The ending feels like there's something missing or more to come. Maybe they could do something like Pico find them lost in hidden codes or something in like a sorta limbo? Idk, either way, this was fun to watch! Great stuff as usual, Merg! That first massive Mario from Demise and Powerdown is MX, different to M in that is is actually totally insane as well as being nearly unstoppable in terms of durability and raw strength.
Try Gorefield V.2 if ya can, and if you like secrets and chaos along with cats :/
For the record: you CAN turn Luigi mode on AND off MID-SONG by selecting the “call Luigi” multiple times. ALSO the ONLY instant death part of “Unbeatable” is the first “don’t miss” part; after that, you can miss, and you’ll be fine👍🏻
It's definitely a tonal shift to have played through the mod, playing through Unbeatable and thinking "that was a pretty cool song, and really fun charting" Never even noticed the "Don't Miss" mechanic. And then watch playthroughs that go "This is insane, way too difficult, I could not beat this in a million years!"

The scribble method on no party doesn’t work. DJ Hallyboo deals damage based on exactly how well you tracing the message. I think people started assuming this worked because DJ Hallyboo’s attack isn’t fatal, so people who are perfect at this game try the scribble method and when the hp is close to 0, they don’t miss and can build their hp back up. Additionally, the player should focus on hitting notes when they appear and abandon the message, even if it’s not finished. Well done merg!
It's not that it didn't work, it works but only during V2, in the Hotfix (2.0.1) they balanced its mechanics.
It's easier to write but now it hurts based on how much you go off the edge (that is, how much you scratched on the white part)

Fun fact about all stars act 2 act 2. It's just a distraction so that ultra. M, which is the NE name? The Mario you came in contact with and the beginning of the mod. Anyway, this whole second second section is just a saction so that he can kill off girlfriend.
You have done everything. You can revisit the songs by freeplay as usual. But you have done everything. The only things that are left are the old version of the songs that are in freeplay, but you don't have to do those.
So the ending for this mod is the actual ending. Boyfriend and girlfriend are actually dead and Pico. He's just stuck in the game forever.
Pico has his other gun, he’ll be fine.
They could make a sequel where pico tries to escape or dd and mm go in to find out what happened to their daughter, its not like bf and gf dying signals the end

In Unbeatlable has one no miss section, the section afterwards do allow you to miss, and only the first on removes the health bar etc. The final note ends you in the middle of the health bar, making the song end in an draw, making the song still "unbeatable"
As an final note:
The first section has the no miss section.
The second section has the zapper shooting you giving health drain every time you get shot.
The third section has the fire burning your health back to the middle
The fourth section has the charcaters switching and moving in resetting the health bar towards the center, with their finale pushing you back towards almost defeat
The mechanics often reference old nes games. The games were made harder by having one hit deaths, throwing something you would’ve never known about the first time around and then there’s straight up cheating.
I love the luigi songs. They do tend to be more emotional imo, beyond just rage.

The more you we have face off against in the end is called costume. Basically, it's fun f, but the killer is wearing a Mario costume instead and for the ending section. He's holding a knife to girlfriend. Originally the song will end in with girlfriend dying, but that was changed.

Fun detail, if you make it to the end of unbeatable without botplay, it ends in a tie as the health icons are in the middle on the health bar at the bottom of your screen. So no matter what you do, you cannot beat nintendo
