    Hello Brandon,
    Very good information, like all your videos.
    How does 4H Auto work mechanically?
    Is there a permanent differential or is it a clutch?
    How is this clutch connected?

    Didn't explain this correctly... front wheel can never go faster than rear under power. What you saw what a redistribution from open differential in front. Front and rear diffentials are open.

    Thanks for the video. Question: Which models of the Wrangler (2024) can you get the 4H Auto? I thought it was only available in the Sahara.

      All 4xe’s have it.

      The 4 wheel drive auto option depends upon the transfer case that is equipped, not the model / trim. The 4 wheel auto mode is only available with the “Select Trac” transfer case (2WH, 4WH-Auto, 4WH-PT, 4WL-PT). The standard transfer case on most trim levels is called “Command-Trac” (2WH, 4WH-PT, 4WL-PT), or Rock-Track in the Rubicon (shorter gearing in 4 wheel low). All 4xe models have the Select-Trac (and this XF case is also the default for the Rubicon 392 - albeit with no default 2-wheel only mode). However, Rubicon Select-Trac has a shorter 4:1 gearing (like the Rock-Trac) for 4 wheel low (I believe all non-Rubicon XF cases are 3:1). I really wish Jeep did a better job explaining this on their website (They’d probably sell a lot more Select Trac equipped Wranglers, too $$$ ).

    • @BrandonHaneline
      @BrandonHaneline  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yes. For any loose surface. Dirt,mud and snow

      Yes but if you are transitioning back and forth between dry pavement and snow, 4H-auto will be better.

    4h auto and forget about it unless doing serious off roading then use 4h or 4lo
