When it comes to trout, never under estimate the giant size that could be hanging around in shallow streams. I caught my PB of 26.5" in 2' of water.

Nice video, well done!!! Can't miss river, NCWRC stocks 60,000 pounds of trout in it each year. If you enjoy fly fishing and catching really big Bows, big lake run Bows, head on up to Lake Erie fish Steelhead Alley. If you haven't done it, you'll love it!

I am heading to the Truck for a family vacation next month. I saw these videos when they dropped, and that is why I booked the vacation there.

Question. I see youre using a TFO rod. I am a big TFO fan, and i recently bought their Pro III in the 6-weight. Great rod, but........just wondering.
I am a very experienced fly fisher and a solid caster. In your opinion, would a $1000 Orvis Helios....or Sage or Scott etc....premium rod be that much better than the $250 TFO?
Functionally, no. It’s not a direct translation of functional value at those $1000+ price points. We don’t have a ton of experience with those high end rods, but have held them and have been in the space enough to know. It’s the same on the bass fishing side and we’ve got a ton of experience there. You get premium level functionality in that $200-$400 range for bass rods (weight, sensitivity, balance), but in the $750-$1000 range you have slightly better functionality with super premium components to the point where it’s moreso an “enthusiast” appeal vs a functionality gain. Hope that makes sense

Yes, most of our slo-mo from the big camera is filmed in 120.
