    Donavon Clarke was the first from that batch to win a race, won on his first mount, a horse named Gojam for trainer Frank Parham. His career was cut short due to weight issues.

    Valid comment. Shane Ellis is at his best with the left hand stick. Won a few races with the short running Mr. Skill compliments of that left hand.

      @@mrbond590 between 1993 to 1999. "Onie" was my step dad, he was the groom of Blue Baladier, Stealing Home, Blue Dancer and Mark Royal.

      Don't know about the strongest....but Robert Reid was an EXCELLENT RIDER.... Easily one of the BEST lightweight riders in Jamaica!!
      He was a very bustling rider....he throws everything at his mounts!
