Bathroom; hidden pipes are a nightmare here in thailand where quality isn’t high.. make a feature of the pipes outside! SO much easier! Our new home has similar challenges

We are building a house in South America and same thing. The pvc pipes are so thin and with the heat, it's always breaking or become brittle.

Beautiful house to look at, inside and out. The porch and the way it is dressed makes it homely. Keeping it white inside with plenty of light is a massive plus.
Looking forward to watching the farm house develop.

What a lovely house and very well built. The cracks are a minor
One piece of advice .You should make the stairs less steep in your house you are going to build/renovate.The older you get the more difficult it is climbing steep stairs. Ask your dad when he arrives
Looking forward to his visit and show a lot of him he is a great guy

The house is really beautiful. I remember Mo did a lot of the over seeing as Ryan was away working. You both did a brilliant job. I tried the Lions Mane but I did not feel any impact. You had said that some people do not at the beginning of your explanation when I purchased it so I was aware. I am also one of those people who taste soap when I eat Cilantro. Penny wise and pound foolish as we would say at home, same as Cheap Charlie.

The Morning Glory's are beautiful ❤️ ! I just love all the flowers and flowering bushes. A Tropical paradise. You shouldn't have a termite problem. Here in the States our houses are all framed out in wood. Using treated wood resolves any issues. I have always been impressed by the natural wood tables. They are so beautiful. I really like Damos tree in the living room. ❤. I believe you have a wonderful and beautiful home. Inside and out. Thanks for sharing this with us. 😊❤

Great Tour around the cottage, regarding your broken pipe in the Batroom, not knowing the material used but all pipework regarding of service need allowance for expansion and contraction, when you install pipework it should never be fixed i.e going through walls, floors etc this leads to the failure at the weakest point with constant movement, when you expose the pipe, install an inline `expansion` coupleing to take up any movement , especially on straight runs with no change of direction or two fixed points, hope this helps, keep the good work up, love and light to the family.

Why don't you fit a Velux window in the roof of the space up the stairs? It might cool it down to the temperature of the rest of the cottage, but it will definitely enable a modicum of air flow.

    Cottage 👍
In remodel : ...... I used the thin foil backed roll foam....one or two sided.... (in my roofs). Drape it at least a few inches below the tin roof and have the low and high ends vented to give an (in lower, out higher) air flow to remove heat. Also, roof tin painted white.
Easy. Cheap. and works well IMO.

    Hi Ryan & Mo,
Here is a suggestion for keeping the balcony cooler. Cover it with 50 to 80% shade cloth roof.
Very cheap to do as it just gets tied to a couple of poles and can be quickly removed during storms.

I’m not sure what’s on the other side of your shower wall where the water line broke but you could run a line on the other side of that wall if it’s a bedroom or the exterior. And then just drill a hole through the wall where your valve for the toilet and bum gun is. All of this can be done without damaging the tile. Find a good plumber that can help you. And quit being a cheap Charlie and spend 4000 baht for a good water heater. 😂👍 I love the wood tops and the round window. Looks great.

In the UK we also get these cracks in the render/plaster and so new build houses are left for 6 months between Render and paint so the cracks can be repaired before paint. Rest assured if they are Render cracks and you repair them now they will not return 👍

@craigberesford726 interesting. I was working down south all around Sussex building large estates consisting of 30+ residences and that was basic protocol for us for the 10 years or so I was in construction. I guess it's not the same everywhere or for all companies. I have heard of the plaster/Render cracks appearing on new builds often within a year of construction but never on builds that left the render/plaster to cure and shrink prior to paint. That is my experience atleast.

Hi Ryan, a question unrelated to his video, if I may.I think it was sometime last year, you went up to Chiang Mai and interviewed this very interesting English gent who was a very accomplished saxophonist who'd played backing for The Who etc.In addition to being a great interview, you ended it with a brilliant piece of music. A very catchy tune about getting old etc.something we can all relate to. Ive tried to look for that particular video clip, but can't find it. As a decent musician yourself, Im sure you know the piece Im talking about.
Id be grateful if you could give me the name of it and where I can find it, please, if its not too much trouble.
Many thanks !!! All the best to you and your lovely family
