Hi Tim always best to set custom white balance to 10.000k. When using a 10 stop filter. Also cover up the view finder, to stop unwanted light leaking in. Shame the weather was not as you had wanted.

Always best to remember that in-camera White Balance settings are irrelevant when shooting RAW.

Of course that is true, it dopes help though. If you don't like the blue tone. When viewing on camera. Personal choice I guess..

I spent 4 days up in Scotland in February. It's not often I would be able to make that sort of trip. Pretty much every day was grey, overcast, dull skies and rain. Very frustrating. I did have one good sunrise at the Commando Monument, but other than that it was awful lighting conditions for photography. I learned a lot about photo editing to make some of my photos look interesting!

Bad weather is probably the most frustrating thing for landscape photographers! So depressing :( - Louise

Reviewing the map of your trip, I wasn't sure whether you were in Massachusetts or England :) I knew that some of the towns here (MA) were named after the settler's original homes in England but I didn't realize just how many. Really enjoying your videos and looking forward to the rest of the trip.

Two lovely images considering the 'flat' light conditions. Appreciate the information regarding your camera settings but could you tell me what focal lengths you were using on your full frame cameras and, Tim, which Monfrotto tripod are you using as I have an aluminium Manfrotto 190 series and am looking for something a little lighter? Thank you and looking forward to the next video.

Errm... you begin with the exact soundtrack from Elia Locardi' & FStoppers 'Photographing The World' series. Not good.
(But you go to the trouble of showing up MAPS, which makes up for it all in spades... :-)
