Eight-year-old Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall - a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents (Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr) could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trust. And for a child, what could be more frightening than that? - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Antony Starr has the range to go from charming one minute to menacing the next. So cool to see the Homelander himself crossing over into the horror genre!
He was amazing in Banshee.
Banshee is one of the top GREATEST shows of all time!!! And the no.1 underrated.
@@niallhughes2697No! Banshee was shit...
@@Scott31815Amazing is an understatement. Lucas Hood gets the job done 😂
@@Scott31815 I very rarely see any comments from anyone who knows about that series..that was the 1st thing I watched him in and knew immediately he was a fantastic actor...
Why is it totally giving Other Mother vibes. Is it just me or does it feel like this kid is "Coraline" and he is hearing his parents knocking to try and help him and the parents we are seeing are the "Other" parents but not in the fake world but the real world and the real parents in the fake world. That small door could be to where his real family is. Also the spider motifs offer a good comparison. Then again it's just a theory...
1 Month Edit: wow had no idea this theory would be so well received. You guys made some pretty neat points about the plot too. Guess we'll have to watch it to find out!
I mean, there's a mini door door in the wall and the parents are turning weird. I totally got live action Coraline vibes XD
Oooooh! Nice take!
Yes!! I love it though.
i like this idea but it would be lame if they did that just because it would literally be copying coraline
Didn't Jorden Peele do something similar to this with "Us"? 🤔
Homelander's actor in a horror movie? NOICE.
bilal bhai asli id say ayeen
Noice 😂
Fuck that! Liz is in it!
@@theaawalker And? Few care
@@theaawalkerwho?
This is giving me major Coraline vibes and I’m here for it 😍
Yeah
Same
Coraline crossed with Parents (1989)
I was totally gonna say that ! This feels very Coroline inspired and I love that!
I WAS COMING TO SAY THAT!!!
Finally Anthony Starr getting some more main roles! This man is so underrated!
so im guessing you've never heard of Banshee lol he starred in the main role for multiple seasons...awesome show btw
@@JAWNDOEmusic Not a movie though
@@tacomn oh my bad, i thought you could have a main role in a movie OR tv show 🤦♂
@@JAWNDOEmusic you have weak comprehension skills. “More main roles” re read this a few times smh
It’s actually quite funny how is name is “Antony” and not “Anthony” I thought it was for awhile too
Lizzy is so good with these type of roles. I still can’t get over on her performance in Castle Rock.
Always great to see Lizzy Caplan.
You know somethings up when they say "No more nightmares." Not exactly up to someone if they have them or not. At best feels like a "stop dwelling on it". At worst they're going to add to the nightmare fuel. This movie looks great.
Yup
At least the mom reassured the boy that's it's just a bad dream.
No more comments
When I saw that part in the trailer it made me chuckle only because I pictured the dad in my head saying "that's right b%tch" after the kid said no more.
Nightmares are caused by demons and demons are 100% real.
If they ever did a remake to The Shining I would want Anthony Starr to play Jack. He would be great
Ooooh I’d like that. I’m also sure that stephen king would love them to remake it. He hates the original passionately because of the director
@@Username2521hh I agree. Stanley Kubrick is a piece of shit even tho he is a talented director
@@Username2521hhStephen probably would, but it's definitely something I don't agree with him on. Kubrick was an absolute legend in the industry.
Anthony Starr as Jack will be fucking scary
That is a fantastic idea
This is the kind of parent Homelander would be if he had no powers
Still scary
I never knew this movie existed until I had a conversation with a friend about
sometimes I'd try to nap or sleep. I'd get woken up by knocks that I so far have convinced myself they were just in my head. Gonna give this movie a watch this weekend.
This should be releasing in October not July. Looks like a perfect movie for Halloween month
october is very competitive for horror movies: Exorcist, Saw X, five nights at Freddy's and more..
@@westcoast2225 oh? Are those actually coming out in October? I haven’t seen the trailer of any of those at all. I have seen the teaser of 5 nights but I thought the date wasn’t announced yet
@@westcoast2225true but I wish more original stuff was coming out
Yeah but by the time it becomes available on Blu-Ray it'll be closer to Halloween than it is now. If it waited until then, it would be coming out closer to Christmas.
Especially with all those pumpkins at 0:23
Antony Starr is currently the acting industry’s best kept secret. I fully expect this guy to blow up into a huge star over the next few years because of his talent
Hes already a starr
He was good in banshee
Lol, 'currently'. People praise him right and left for his work on The Boys.
for the love of god enough with the parasocial trash who the hell cares if x or Y gets famous or not, just do your actor job and stfu, that's all we need
The show Banshee on HBO Max with Anthony Starr is AMAZING
Live action Coraline looks pretty great.
THANK YOU!!! Thought the same thing!
Lol
Don't compare a masterpiece to this shit.
YES a great explanation for why parent's constantly deny their child or family members household fears/seeing of ghosts is that THEY are the evil. I love it! I can't wait to see this. I am sure there will be cheap jumpscares but as long as there is appropriate buildup of what the child comes to realize is going on instead of idiotic decisions leading to people's demise throughout the whole thing, it should be good! I love Antony Starr and hope he gets to show those different personalities he is so good at in The Boys.
i bet the parents kidnapped a girl and shes in a room on the otherside of the wall OR his real parents (or parent) are in that room and the parets we see are fake parents
Jesus somebody has pent up baggage from their home life🤦♂️
Actually there wasn’t many jumpscare it was really good def recommend it
@@colony4367
Oh, shut up.
@@colony4367😂😂 lmao, I swear I read her comment and was thinking to myself she only liked the movie because it supports her childhood trauma
The knocking happened to me as a kid. I would hear three knocks every night before I went to sleep. I was around nine years old at the time. I told my friends about it and I happened to go up north with them for a weekend. We all settled in the bed, then we heard it... the three knocks.
They all laid there and I was like, "Did you hear it?". They said yes and were totally freaked out. Whatever it was had followed me all the way up north. Then when I got back home I sought advice and someones grandma told me to dip a cloth in holy water and put crosses on my door with it.
I did that and it seemed to stop. She said it was probably just a spirit asking to come in. It could be either bad or good. That is my story and that is why this trailer is giving me intense chills. I keep pausing because I remember that fear. The not knowing what was behind the wall. They say aliens knock three times as well.
Just the other day though, it's years later and I'm thirty now. I heard the knocks again or thought I did. It stays with you for sure.
Wow I hope you’re doing okay today, I love writing horror stories and this felt like a horror story. You should write a horror story based on this experience!
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Slow burn, followed by insanity towards the end. Great horror movie with a fairytale vibe. Love that they held off showing everything for so long, Alien style. Way creepier than a cgi fest. Cast were excellent.
I agree except for the alien part. I thought the face looked ridiculous.
@@B0NY_HAWK I meant in the way that they held off on showing the full thing until right at the end…just showing bits to leave it to your imagination.
@@deanrichardson5930 I know what you mean it was actually anticipated real well.
They never truly snowed her face
Wasn't really a slow burn, the whole film kept me interested and eager to keep watching. Definitely one of the good horror films that's not typical type
You had me at Antony Starr.
Oh I soooooo want to see this! I knew something was up with the parents because if my kid kept hearing knocking coming from the walls, I'd call a psychologist. Or an exorcist. Or maybe both. Regardless, I wouldn't shame the kid.
I would have got him noise cancelling headphones, problem would have been solved then
a horror film that might have a good backstory and actually be scary? i'm cautiously optimistic. this looks better than most cookie-cutter horror films that are routinely marketed to teens. edit: did finally watch it. WARNING giving my synopsis.............................................................................................. - the parents are creepy/disturbed and the house provided good atmosphere; but, i wish there was more backstory to the sister. it was an "ok" watch but certainly not a great horror movie.
This has every stereotypical trope of every horror movie ever.
@@MrGangstabitch99 no it doesn't. it's insane for you to even suggest it.
@@beavis4play we can start with something in the walls, done millions of times, then a demon that flies at you and disappears, the conuring beat both of those to death, shall I continue?
The parents are sick and twisted and are keeping their secret child in the walls. The child found out they are killers involved in a cult and so they People Under the Stairsed the child.

I'm definitely saving this movie for Halloween
It'll be the first movie I've seen in a theater in years. Gives me a reason to use my 2 gold & black tickets too.
Looks good to me. I'm definitely going to try it when it comes out. And I can't believe the mom is in so many horrors now. Went from mean girls to this. I love the transition. ❤❤🔥🔥
This movie looks so good! I had no idea this came out! Will be watching for Halloween!
oh my GOD! this CAST!!!! Lizzy Caplan, we love you!!!!!!
LOOKS SO GOOD WOW!!!!
Caplan and Starr as a couple in a horror film?
hell yeah
Just watched and loved every creepy minute. Very good film.
Antony Starr in a horror movie ? I'm in
It's not often I can recommend a horror movie as a great watch, as I've been disappointed more often than not by so-called "horror movies". But i just watched this last night and I can honestly say this movie was one of the better horror flicks I've seen. Great acting all around, a great tension-filled atmosphere, and a genuinely interesting and compelling story line make this a must-watch for horror fans looking for a fresh and interesting entry to the horror genre.
This was a REALLY good movie,definetly took a huge twist..Worth the watch 4sure 👍💯
Excited for this! Popcorn ready 🍿
Antony Starr... oh my ❤I love this guy.
"no more nightmares" is what I say to myself when I finally pry myself out of sleep paralysis.... and then immediately fall back asleep into another episode of sleep paralysis
Reminds me of tales from the hood, specifically the tale about the boy who keeps drawing the monster at he’s house at school, so the teacher goes over to ask he’s parents then well…I don’t wanna spoil the movie but that’s the feel I get from this lol
This movie deserves prequel and sequal, i hope they made it soon.
Anthony starr is a wicked actor man 👏👏 bravo my man
wasn't expecting much when I clicked on the trailer but damn, I'm sold
Marianne was a great show too, awesome to see the creator doing more.
Marianne was pure nightmare fuel. This will be scary as fuck.
I love anything horror related and not much scares me but, Marianne, dam that put the creeps on me when I watched it a while back. Very talented imagination.
Nothing quite like a parent telling their child to stop having nightmares.
How has no one mentioned the fact that Lizzy is starring in the film? Janice Ian ??? From Mean Girls! I was impressed with everyone's part in the film but Lizzy was the one who caught my attention the most. Story line was good, overall. Not disappointed. 8/10 😊 saw it with my husband at the movies
She was great in the new Fatal Attraction series.
She's so hot
Maaaaaaan I knew I seen somewhere. She was absolutely amazing in this I still can't believe that's the same girl.
She’s been in a lot of stuff since then though, that’s probably why it’s not noteworthy
Mean Girls was 20 years ago, she's had a stellar career since then.
Oh the Fall/ Spooky season vibes to get us through Summer! I hope it plays near me! Super excited!
One of the best scary movies I've ever seen in a long time 👏🏼👏🏼
How can Lizzy Caplan be extremely terrifying yet extremely gorgeous in the same shot?
My hype for this movie is astronomical; especially since this comes from the man who created the Netflix show Marianne which is my absolute fav horror show! ❤
YES! As soon as I looked this up and saw he directed Marianne, this became a must-see.
Marianne was such a good show and this looks amazing too! This is my first time hearing this movie even exists, I'm surprised because I watch a lot of horror movies.
Oh my god I love that show!!!
Marianne was borderline boring and unoriginal

For once, in one of these movies, it's the parents who are the villains.
Not like other movies are any better where they're not the villains but they're powerless to help.
Yeah
They weren’t the main villain but they definitely sucked as parents.
No they were not, they were just bad parents.
@@petronasken7504 I didn't see it, so my comment was based on the trailer.

what I love about this trailer is that I have no idea why is it called cobweb.

Definitely worth a watch. Better than most horror movies coming out these days....
Im here for Lizzy Caplan!!!
Love to see Antony starr in new projects

“Peter, sometimes you have to make hard decisions to protect your family.”
Damn, that would’ve been a hard line for Anthony Starr if he was Norman Osborn!
I find it interesting that the parents seem to be gaslighting their child, like they know something is wrong and are the reason something is wrong. Looks pretty interesting.
Watched this the other day, and I loved it!!!
It started off slow but intensify toward the middle an keeps you guessing almost until the end. Great movie. will totally recommend. 8/10
Fantastic film. Highly recommend and hope thier is a prequel or sequel. Didn't like the ending but definitely has you guessing. Nice twist.
Honestly, just relieved a giant spider didn’t burst out of the walls.
This looks intense. 😮 Definitely going on my watch list.
This needs marketing asap , I didn’t even know this existed and it looks amazing
This looks promising!
This was actually really cool. I thought I knew where it was going and everytime it went different
Great movie,it has a potential of having a sequel
I love when the parents gaslight the main character 😂 that’s my favorite.
Finally a movie that isn't afraid to speak out against moms and dads for gaslighting us about there being no monsters in the under the bed or in the closet
This movie has its flaws and but the scares are on point. Overall I think it’s definitely worth watching and highly recommended for horror movie buffs. NOT a boring film at all, great suspense and brilliant acting.

One of the scariest horror films ever . It’s a psychological thriller playing against your very fears . Nothing is what you expect until there’s nothing left but you, cowering alone in an empty house stowed away in a dark room staring down an empty hallway through an open door between what you know is there and what you wish really wasn’t . Until the footsteps you’ve been hiding from reach your bedside . It’s a beautiful ride .
Edgar Allen Coraline looks great
This movie was very surprising for what it is.. was not expecting it to get so.... brutal? Maybe...
Just done watching it... Ill rate it 7/10, we need prequel on this
Antony Starr was also in Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant
Solid role and great film.
I love how the parents are both different villains in terms of how the father is a slasher killer and the mother is more of a supernatural possessed monster
Everybody in this movie is fucked up, except the teacher,
Lol what? You obviously haven't seen the movie, neither of them are villains
Realistically, it would basically be a replica of a psychotic family, where the parents killed and buried their daughter in the backyard, then the brother discoveres the crime and decides to revenge or protect himself from them harming him too. Both parents were cruel in their own way.
