    After the Epoxy hardens lets say overnight......fill the reservoir with plain water. Leave overnight and this will be a good way to leak check without wasting the windshield washer fluid. Reservoir does not to be fully filled but at least above the level of the original leak.

    So this stuff says on the bottle "water resistant. Exposed to moderate exposure to watert" also the plastic is polypropylene. Not sure epoxy will work.

    Use Henry rubberized roof cement, cheap, fast, and reliable fixed. The same price of a 3M tube can buy a ONE gallon can of rubberized roof cement from Home Depot or eBay.

    What caused the hole? Was there an abrasive surface near it pls check before reassembly. Don’t know the battery location might be a battery acid leak. I’ve seen long cracks due to age but a hole like that me thinks might be an outside source.

    Using the car's bare, painted engine hood for a work space is not real smart. At least put down a protective blanket.

  • @slpip4365

    Use Henry rubberized roof cement, cheap, fast, and reliable fixed. No need to take the tank off and just patch it from inside or outside. Don't waste your time.

    • @p00595p
      @p00595p Před rokem

      I tried that on my Jeep Grand Cherokee and it did not work. The pressure of the water on the inside simply pushed the rubberized roof cement off as it is not strong enough.

    Here's an easier idea. Get a long enough artists paint brush and squirt some silicone inside the empty washer bottle and paint the silicone into the crack and them same on the outside of the bottle... Without removing anything. Wait a night and fill it back up with water. Done.

    • @judithgreene5235
      @judithgreene5235 Před 4 lety +6

      Ha...easier said than done. Have you ever tried to get in there where resivor is. Its hard enough trying to get some of them out much less fix them while they ate in there.

    • @maker8172
      @maker8172 Před 3 lety +1

      judith greene won’t the crack expand in the cold even if there’s silicone surrounding it and leak again?
