Don't feel bad. She's pretty bad at most of these languages. I'm a native Hindi speaker, I could not understand a word of what she was saying without having those subtitles on. Language learning in reality is a far more involved and difficult thing than just "speaking to friends".
No same. But hey, I'm fine with being dumb.
@@darkgreninja8349 I can definitely confirm that, from what I've heard her German is really not that good but neither is his German so the fact that he's saying she's good in German just makes it weightless. In my opinion she should concentrate much more on improving at one Language rather than learning 103 languages at the same time just to show-off. It's actually a shame that they claim to speak those languages if they aren't even able to make those baby conversations flawless.
I’m a twelve year old trying to learn Russian, and I admire this girl. She has learned so many languages in such a short amount of time! She is so skilled for someone her age, and that’s amazing. I aspire to be like her.

if you want it ask around about how you can join a structured class! even a zoom class or something a couple hours a week. you are at a time in your life where Russian will stick in your head a bit more, so take advantage! very admirable not only to pursue a dream at your age, but to have it at all!
Believe me, this girl doesn’t know the Russian language just as she doesn’t know the Ukrainian language. She knows only a few words in Russian and cannot even formulate a sentence correctly. She couldn’t say anything at all in Ukrainian! I think that quality in this case should be more valuable than quantity. And by the way, I'm half Russian and half Ukrainian.

Being native German I can say that her German definitely is not perfect or on native speaker level as she does a couple of grammar errors, especially on the syntactic level, but nonetheless it's very good and you can understand both of them which in my opinion is what's most important! :) It's very impressive to see in how many languages she is able to communicate! It's so lovely to see her passion for language learning, very inspiring :)
Everyone says that Germans strongly criticise foreigners whenever they make a mistake in German, which is really annoying.
@@jeffbrunswick5511 It's called: Grammar Nazi ;-)
@@jeffbrunswick5511 I as a german native aswell have to say that her German really wasn't on a native level same with his. BUT it is still really impressive that you could understand everything they both said considering they know so many languages.
I find it fascinating that a person can speak over twenty languages at the age of thirteen. Of course, she can't speak all the languages perfectly. But she still has to practise. And it's okay that the Germans are criticising her now. It's just their opinion. The fact that other people are now criticising the German language is just their opinion. The Germans are not agitating against foreigners. It's just their criticism that should be respected.
@@jeffbrunswick5511 that was not my intention, I just wanted to rectify what's been said in the video :) It's no problem doing mistakes if you speak a foreign lamguage, the most important is being able to communicate what you want to say and she definitely is able to do that :)

Yeah because speaking doesn't entail fluency always for every language
@@TheChunkyCrusader Well, "speaking" should entail at least a conversational level in said language. If you can share your own ideas in said language, then you speak it in my opinion.
@@Navajonkee but that level is around 1,000 words. Surely to be fluent per se, one needs to know more.
Experts also don't agree what counts as words too or which words are goods ones.
Now I would ask, what do you determine to be a conversation? Just simple chat like how one is doing or how one's day went or more?
@@TheChunkyCrusader As I said. If you are able to speak your mind, and share unique ideas with someone, while also being able to properly react to their answers. Repeating phrases is not a conversation, it becomes one onec you put your mind into it.

André Gonçalves I am pretty sure that they both have incredible talent and skills to learn and speak in foreign languages, but tbh, Ukrainian and Russian part (as a native speaker) didn’t impress me at all. I’ve heard a few general phrases which are very often used by polyglots as a structure - it is a beautiful language - I don’t speak it well - I want to learn it, etc. And if you watch videos with other people who claim that they are polyglots, you will notice (even with subtitles) how they talk about same or close topics over and over again.
It’s better to learn 2-3 languages and speak fluently so you can always rely on your skills, rather than dozens of them at a mediocre level. Not sure about other languages but her French and Russian for instance are very basic. Survival level to buy an ice cream and that’s it. What the point of impressing people for these ‘polyglots’? I personally speak like 4 or 5 foreign languages and only English pays off by far.
That’s besides the point, the simple fact that she knows how to speak that many languages and she’s so young is incredible in itself.
Yes she doesn't speak all these language really fluently (like a Native) , but, she is thirteen years old and can speak 13 Languages good. This is hillerious.

The foundations are all astounding for a 13 year old, especially in 20 languages! God knows how fluent she will actualy be in a couple years time if she keeps at it. Fantastic!
She might not speak most of these languages perfectly but she's always super excited about every language and just starts speaking without worrying about screwing up. That's the most valuable thing when learning languages
Absolutely right... at 13 she'd do very well to properly speak half of the languages claimed... but her enthusiasm for language is undeniable, and is the key. It's not really about being 100% correct and having 'the' accent bang-on, but about attempting communication, and just getting stuck in, and finding the most effective way to be understood. I think she's completely wonderful...
indeed, her german is a bit "rusty"" but still quite good. Since i'm dutch, i speak german as well, like most dutch people do, since Germany is our neigboring country and a lot of germans spend their vacation here.
Learning languages givesyou the freedom to travel and understand the people in other countries.. i already feel blessed by speaking english and German, as well as a little french, Italian and a few words in Russian..
Confidence is only good when u know what ure doing , otherwise u are just like sounding a bit off on everything u say and almost everyone would notice that ur speaking is very limited to those things u have memorized .
Meaning that if u can have a conversation like introductions it doenst make u a speaker . I speak for myself , I can start talking in french or even Italian but I wont go further than her on any of these languages. And I would never claim out there I speak all those Languages . The fact that she can form basic sentences in Portuguese doesnt make her a speaker at all and whatsoever. I guess the title is a bit off not to say its missleading.
me as an English learner, i would like to have the same confidence to speak English as she does it with all those languages :( i feel really proud of her
Pronunciation matters for shit. Not my problem. The impressive part is that they are 13, with maturity they will properly crystalize their pronunciation, before they even reach the end of their cognitive development. Though girls do mature much quicker than men, and seem to exhibit much earlier signs of intelligence, so I would say it's all very believable. I would recommend they learn whatever they want left, and then focus on reading greek and roman literature before the brain solidifies too much.

BE PROUD OF YOUR LEVEL, AND GO ON LEARNING.
Yes making mistakes and saying sorry in front of a camera! That's something!
At this age my students are really shy(10-14)
Thank you 😄
That's how you learn 😊
Какой ребенок умный,молодцы родители,смогли все правильно сделать,респект!
She is such a bright and positive child.
I noticed one thing. When she speaks a different language, her vibe or personality switch to the culture of the language she speaks.
Its normal that happens with me too, i dunno why.
Happens with most multilingual speakers. Also just speaking different accents of the same language. Language is connected to culture.
There are studies than show that. For example, japanese women changes your tone when speak a foreign language (some sort of escape of cultural conventions, maybe?)
its common .. i speak Italian Chinese English fluently..so i have 3 personalities...lel
Yeah my Spanish self is very joking and front 😂. My English side is very shy and empathetic.
She’s only 13. She’s still learning these languages so don’t bash her for not being perfect in all 20 languages

The best thing about her language is she doesn’t care about mistakes. She just happily speak what she try to express.

Anyone else wondering how this 13 year old has so many friends from all over the world? I can barely make 1 😂
Maybe she studied. 👀
She may have joined some online clubs that help promote the ability to speak with others in languages she wants to learn. (that is a thing) In addition to any friends she may have at school from other countries.

This video is amazing because both of you know many languages including my native one. Cameron is great. Her father is a good support and I believe he is so proud of her. (now in my languague)> Muito obrigado por nos presentear com essa pérola de idiomas. E, sendo brasileiro, é um incentivo e tanto para que eu aprenda outros idiomas também, apesar de eu ser, talvez, mais velho que todos os 3. Gratidão mesmo. Thank you very much.
I think its quite impressive, but also this conversations are very basics, it definitely takes time to master a language, but its also amazing to see the hability of building a speech out of few words. I am also learning german and do the same, lol
When you sign up for all the languages on Duolingo
haahahah
Lol 😂
And you can speak a few memorized sentences and not be fluent in a single language.. Thats duolingo for yah

Soy de Perú. Es increíble cómo esta niña puede pronunciar las dos clases de "r" que existe en el idioma español. Su español es muy bueno.

Fun fact I learned a few weeks ago when I was doing research for a character in a book I’m writing: young kids can actually learn and become fluent in multiple languages faster than adults because it’s easier for them to process and absorb. When you get older it’s harder to process that information. That’s why it’s ideal for most foreign speakers to learn English or other languages at a young age, and why by preschool or kindergarten some students are already bilingual in their native tongue and the language their school is taught in. I wish I knew this sooner so that way I could’ve started younger lol 😂
I'm brazilian. Her accent is amazing and I did understand everything, but she mixed the languages. She started to speak Spanish in the middle lol
I used to speak in 3 languages in one sentence and.even.now if I forget a word I insert the English word.
@@thenaturalyogi5934 I do that too I’ll speak in different languages in the same sentence.
That just further proves that she is actually learning these languages and is not simply memorizing certain phrases and responses. She’s awesome!
My mother language is Portuguese. I could not understand shit, except when they spoke Spanish (then I got it as I am fluent in Spanish). LOL

Indeed, I also noticed that. No tiene el acento que tienen los anglosajones normalmente

Yo le he escuchado un acento venezolano pero también italiano, xddd. No se por qué pero muchas palabras sonaba como con esa enfásis que ponen los italianos cuando hablan en español
@@smartwastaken es cierto. Parece una italiana queriendo hablar español
It's clearly her second language. Se le entendió perfectamente todo lo que decía, y eso que yo soy de España y su acento era más de Mexico mezclado con Venezuela.
She's not only fluent in many languages but she also adopted the accent which makes her look as if it's her native language... Very impressive!
She is barely fluent lmfao. 50% of her languages are incomprehensible to the point where she isn't even fluent.
How can you tell?
@@femalooyt Because people are native in those languages and clearly know if she is speaking properly or not. I speak arabic and she butchered her words and sounds, thats why her arabic section was cut off so quickly.
@@BlancoWilliams it wasn’t only Arabic. French and Russian as well.
@@femalooyt There are various other people who critiqued her speech. Issues with verb conjugation, grammar, sentence/word order, and general words/things being said wrong occurred.
As somebody who currently speaks 15++ languages (fluently) I’ve notice that her Asian languages and some others has a foreign accent and I couldn’t really understand her if not for the subtitles, such as her Chinese (both Taiwanese and Mandarin) it’s quite understandable but you could tell she’s not a native immediately,(coming from somebody who speaks mandarin,Taiwanese and Cantonese + many more Chinese languages) and her Thai is somewhat questionable,i only understood what she was saying because she was saying basic sentences. Her Korean and Japanese also doesn’t seem fluent and gives a very foreign accent when she was speaking. I don’t know much abt the European languages bc I can only speak some of them but the French I can clearly tell she’s not French and her Russian and Ukrainian seems a bit off. Besides from the accent and all that I think she can improve them if she works on them more
Love her beautiful

Wonderful. Language is an excellent measure of intelligence and also makes a person of very high EQ. Keep up that achievement, young lady. And kudos to the parents for raising a gem!
Her Hindi does need quite some improvement although she is significantly better than the host's. The host also is commendable otherwise.
Overall the range of this young lady's pronunciation is truly remarkable.
She's a chatterbox. That's one of the reasons she's so good at languages.
She's a very mature person.

"when I hear you speaking in german, it sounds like you're a native speaker".
Every german: *confused looking*
You‘re right.His german was even better 😂😂😂
There hasn‘t been any Austrian accent it was very hard to listen to her because she couldn‘t even finish a sentence but she can speak german thats for sure
Ihre Aussprache in Deutsch ist grundsätzlich gut, aber sie spricht nicht fließend. Aber Sie muss auch sehr viel überlegen, während sie spricht. Das ist auch schwierig, zwischen so vielen Sprachen zu switchen. Sein Deutsch ist besser ;o)
Aber sie spricht auf jeden Fall verständlich und es ist sehr erstaunlich, dass sie so schnell viele Sprachen gelernt hat.
Her pronunciation in German is generally good, but she is not fluent. But she also has to think a lot as she speaks. It's also difficult to switch between so many languages. His German is better; o)
But she definitely speaks understandably and it is very amazing that she learned so many languages so quickly.
You think German in Austrian accent is confusing? Try listening German in Swiss accent!
@carpe diem chill dude I just think it's funny that he says her German is better than his when it isn't. I'm just trying to say that she has to practice German a bit more to really get fluent. It's just a fact that her German isn't great at the time the video was made.
Hahaha, she imitates the Japanese gestures so well!!!! Amazing!!!
