C4D lite is very limited, you cant really create any complex effects with it - you can get a free learning version of full C4D though from the Maxon website. Don't forget to subscribe if you don't want to miss more videos like this, we upload new stuff all the time;)

Just a warning! If you don't have a good machine, don't try to using low values in Volume Builder (like 0.06 used here) or your system will freeze.
Good advice, my machine is a bit of a beast;)
Can this tutorial be done in C4D lite?

Totally, you'll end up with a single clean mesh hopefully so it should print fine
