    I was evaluated this past Thursday in order to get my first SmartDrive.
    I've been using a manual wheelchair since high school. I have Cerebral Palsy. So, at first, I used my wheelchair full-time for convenience. Now, it's become a necessity. Now, I will be 52 years old. As I am getting older, the strain of pushing a wheelchair is beginning to take its toll. I cannot wait to receive my SmartDrive.

      I have cerebral palsy as well. Thinking about one. May you let me know how it worked for you?

    those are all really good answers. me being a wheelchair user experienced everything they talked about and having a smart Drive would absolutely be like hitting the lottery.

    I can’t wait to get one (assuming I’m approved!) in a few months. I’ve needed it for years, living with ME/CFS. I think it’s going to make a big difference in my life-even more so than I currently realize, after hearing Steph and Chelsie talk about it more.

      @FX 1k it's been great! It makes it so much easier to get around. I love it for grocery shopping cause cause I can mostly do it myself. And certain places here I need it like the mall by my house has super long steep ramps and it's murder on my arms. My only issue is my pushtracker recently started acting up. It won't sync with my phone so at the moment I can't use my smartdrive

    • @otakuakichan
      @otakuakichan Před 3 lety

      @FX 1k it lasted a few years before it acted up. And I wish I could have used it way more but the setup around here makes it difficult to do the way I wanted. I would love to always put it on myself however I can't. I have 2 wheelchairs. One for upstairs and downstairs and I use it on the downstairs one sometimes when I go out but with how I get in that chair it's impossible to put it on myself. I desperately need to move

      @FX 1k well you can't keep it permanently on. It has to be charged up

    I had the opportunity to test the new Smart Drive MX2 plus. I went to an event at Scarborough Renaissance Festival . And it worked like a charm. Compared to the last time I went, I had to push manual, and it was very hard. I was exhausted by mid day. After using the SM plus, After an entire day, I was doing fine. It felt good to use that and not be exhausted. It is very good to have one. I will be getting my own soon! so It works with rough terrain, Climbs good, in some areas I had to perform a wheelie, but it worked perfectly.

    I love my smartdrive. It really helps so much. By the by Chelsea Hill is the reason I decided to get one.

  • @CheyenneLoveLoveZebrasEDS

    I will get a Smart Drive in August of this year! I am so so so excited I've been trying to get one for about 2 years now! I have to wait until August because Medicare is silly but it's okay because come August I will get my Independence back! #IWillRollSmart

      Cheyenne Love is Medicare paying for it for you?

      I was informed by the wheelchair people at my hospital that once I hit the 1 year mark with my chair bought by Medicare I can file for the smart drive. Once I hit that 1 year mark between Medicare and Medicaid my Smart Drive "should" be 100% covered by insurance! Yay!!

    I have a question for you guys. Longevity of the product and repairs? How long does it tend to last ? Does it need repairs often? How many years can I expect to get out of one
