Frank in one of you're old videos it said that you were looking for a book that contains the answers of what to do in life, I know you said on the title that you didn't want a holy book but if you really truly want answers you would consider my advice right now. Looking up the menu ahead of time is just being efficient.
It just wastes so much time trying to figure out what you want when you get to the restaurant. Knowing ahead of time what you want to order is better than trying to figure it out while you’re there. That’s why I order ahead and pick up my food when I show up. If the restaurant doesn’t have an app or a way I can order ahead, I probably don’t go there😹

I have a gf who called me to hang out and eat lunch at her local Indian restaurant. I had no time to study the menu or prepare.
Ended up ordering one of the few Indian foods that I know and pretended I never had it before, to make it look like I am keen to explore new tastes.

This is so relatable for the most part. By the way, never talk to introverts, when we are recharging, because if we don't do that, we're gonna be irritated by every single word that comes out of your mouth

But as an extrovert, if I notice your irritation I’m going to ask you about it until I’m sure everyone is ok. So maybe, if you calmly and patiently tell me what you’d needed, I’d actually leave you alone. But if you snap at me, now I need to fix it😂 (I had a roommate where this would always happen. We went round in circles. Took me forever to figure out what happened after. Irritation = invitation.) Seriously, if you can manage one polite sentence it might save you an entire stress argument.
To whoever wrote and then deleted: I didn’t say fix “you” I said fix “it.” If we have no respect for people’s need to recharge (acknowledged)-you have no respect for the common social space WE are constantly living in. It feels like you pour your mental garbage out into the social world and then expect other people to just-not care? Let the atmosphere be garbage? That’s where I live and I am TERRIBLE at processing it internally-it hurts. Keep it in your own space and I’ll leave you alone.

Some of us, unfortunately, then spend way too much time overthinking the response. I hope the original poster will not do this to his, her, or whatever pronouns are preferred self. I hope this reply brings them some peace.
Not me though. I'm an INTJ and I'll never give @andianderson3017 another thought after this post. I will say this. @andianderson3017 you have used a lot of words to say that YOU are the problem. It does not matter if your an extrovert. Any compassionate human that notices someone is irritated, sad, or just mad will ask if they are ok. What they will not do is dictate that they answer you "calmly and patiently." Irritation does not equal invitation. I feel sorry for anyone that has to be your roommate. Everyone deserves the space to process their emotions without you demanding that they "manage one polite sentence" and then gaslighting them about saving THEM "an entire stress argument." It's obvious that YOU have no respect for a persons need to recharge their social battery and no "respect for the common social space WE are constantly living in." It really feels like YOU are the one that is pouring out YOUR mental garbage into the social world.

...it's taken me 2 hours of staring at this, considering all the witty possible responses, and debating whether or not I should even post at all, before giving up and hitting "comment."
I swear I could fill out a 5 subject, college spaced, spiral notebook with all the comments/responses I've thought about posting before deciding not to reply.
bless your heart your poor introvert you, welcome to the crowd, we want to live in a house with people but not interact with them at all.
I write my comments somewhere else first, my phone's note app, even on Google Docs. Then, I save the YT video I plan to leave comment on. Then, I go back and forth for days reading and editing my comment, watching the video again.
It takes me a week or two to finally get to courage to (decide) to post comment. But by that time, if I see the video and the latest comment there was posted more than a week ago, I consider (again) whether I should post comments afterall. If the latest comment is less than a week, I might (finally) post my comment. Years watching YT I can count comments I left with one hand.

I agree. I recently had a really bad panic attack, and when I was crying on the stairs, my cat came to me from another room, rubbed against me a bunch, and put his face super close to mine with big eyes like he was saying "Hey, you okay?".
He never goes out of his way to comfort people, so I felt honoured.

I have experience with this perfect example of what I have felt soooo many times in my life: “We’re introverts, of course we made those plans when we were feeling social, and now we’re regretting it.” I cannot count how many times I psyched myself into going to ie. ‘a dinner or party’, and perhaps even came to like the idea a bit, only to feeling stressed, pressured, and occasionally a little angry at the person whom pushed me to accept. All of this often would build as the day of the event approached. I mostly thought some of these feelings were just me! My home is my sanctuary, and I feel as though I can only give so much of myself at a time, and need to limit my interactions unless it is my idea to go outside of my comfort zone. Sometimes, I feel relief if another has to cancel/postpone a get together.
We’re introverts. When we say “it’s not you, it’s me,” we mean that wholly and honestly; _it’s_ *literally* _a personal thing,_ and has *_nothing_* to do with you.
You’re an amazing person, probably… s-so don’t, like, f-feel too bad or whateverz, ‘k? 😗

I practice socializing... in the planetarium, looking at the stars with a hundred others. But I don't have to talk to them. That's the great thing about it. :D Otherwise, life in my novels is much more exciting.
But I'm always relieved when appointments are canceled. Then my head starts: Then I can write on the weekend and finish painting, go in the tub, do some scrapbooking... and binge watching Frank's CZcams videos. 🤣🥰

Oh wow I think all my friends are introverts, with an exeption. I guess it makes sense since as of current statistics us introverts are in a slight majority 🤝 but you'll notice us less cause we're hiding at home lolll

As an introvert, the parts of befriending the cat and browsing the menu beforehand are especially extra correct.
So, I have done just about everything except for talk to myself while looking in the mirror. Everything else is spot on. INTJ here married to an ENTP! Help! He never stops talking, but he will answer the phone and order the pizza. 🙂

As an introvert with unusually strange personality traits…I have 4 moods I find very intriguing:
1: hates and loves Everyone at the same time
2: wants friends but doesn’t want to leave my house
3: “Stare first, ask questions later”
4: watching Frank James and realizing how accurate his introvert/MBTI vids are and yet still doubting my identity as an INFJ because like 80% of INFJs are mistyped

Introverts = quite and calm \ introverts after a couple of drinks = recklessly dancing on tables. It's one or the other, no in between 😂😂

I almost always see the message right away, but don't respond because I want to think up the best way to answer (especially if it's a touchy subject that requires careful wording). But then I take so long to respond that I become more hesitant about whether it's worth responding at all. Days will pass, but I can't stop thinking about it and really feel like I need to answer, but regret having waited so long, so I wait even longer until I either finally force myself to just answer the message or I never get back to it at all.
And usually, my answer ends up being what I'd thought of saying in the first place anyway... 😅
that's why I just go with my gut feeling first. that's usually the right answer anyway.

I've been able to help with a lot of these issues by not thinking about actual future events too much. Think about how many times you imagined a situation playing out in your head and then having the actual experience. How close was the real experience to what you planned for? There's usually a big difference and you rigidly planned your behaviors ahead of time for circumstances that didn't actually occur, making your behavior more awkward and unfitting.
Maybe you worry that if you don't plan you won't be prepared, but you've never really been able to plan ahead that well anyways since you're not psychic and you're still here. Things have more or less worked out to this point. Things will work out again. Take responsibility for the things you do have control over, let the rest take care of itself and just go out and live. It's better for people to judge you while you enjoy life than for people to judge you because you're afraid to live.
You'll still be an introvert and that's fine, but you'll be a happier healthier introvert.
