I was similar to you Gerby, skinny weak and shy and when I had my glow up I became tall, good looking, in shape etc.
I definitely feel better about myself but not necessarily happier. When I was younger, people didn’t take me serious because I was skinny and shy however I was somehow able to connect more with people and life was just a happier place. Now it feels like every dude I see on the street looks at me angry or as competition. The better looking I got, the lonelier I became. At this point I don’t even care about having a girlfriend, I rather just have a few very close friends, a brotherhood. But it seems like everyone already has got that except for me.

I was about to say that in general its harder to find real ones nowadays, but rather people are more trivial and most importantly put a lot of value on the materials and not on the companies and connection in which is what truly is of value, if I could put it in a simpler way. So meeting with others that seek to attain and improve the things that cannot be seen as was stated by Miyamoto Musashi will probably relate a lot, I was thinking maybe doing a sport that you personally enjoy in a social circle may help a lot with that, but still its true that if we dont have attitude we make by far colleagues kind of, and if we pursue it in a desperate way things only go down... so to chill and keeping our heads up is important, and its to understand that all that is part of life, I understood both of them arent bad, alone or accompanied, both has its utilities but I indeed also need more experience, and we shouldnt rush. It would be interesting to study what percentage of people become (painfully) aware of the social hierarchy games. It certainly happens to many intelligent guys who struggle with mental health. But there's plenty of people, some with lower IQ, that keep playing the social games and enjoying social gatherings while being mostly unaware of the dynamics that are happening.

The simple solution is to make active effort when meeting new people, and when this is not reciprocated you stop doing it. If someone does reciprocate you stayed real to yourself and did not act like some cool sigma who does not talk, which could potentionally lead to deep connection. After my friends from high-school and I stopped doing things together, I realized that other than family I mostly just need people for networking.

As an extrovert, the only thing I can really say to someone who struggles with socializing, just realize everyone gets rejected. Even the most neurotypical people ever do. The most “perfect” person. Keeping this in mind, what you can realize is that it’s okay to get rejected and when you succeed that it makes it so much more valuable. I understand that’s not exactly the most perfect response, and being young is really hard even through your college years. But being social when you’re not the best looking or didn’t 100% grow up with everyone liking you, you have to learn to not give a fuck much more than those people. And most importantly, be grateful for what you have. 1 good friend is better than 10 fugazzi ass ones. This is coming from someone who people were genuinely scared of me until my senior year. I always had friends, but a lot of people didn’t like me and sorta shit on me/bullied me all because of some bullshit lol. I felt super ostracized, and I kinda had to start small to become acquaintances with people who weren’t my immediate friends. But I think it’s possible for pretty much everyone, but not a necessity to live a happy life.
