  • In this video I'll install the spring catch and stud for a push button patchbox release. On the Track of the Wolf Bucks County flintlock rifle kit. This is the first time I've ever done a push button lid release, and it has been a real learning experience for me. In the video I'll show you how I determined the position of the various components in the release, and how I got them into place.

    I love all your build series Mike, and its looking really good. Have you thought of putting designs in the brass? Either yourself or having someone else do it for you?

    Just a thought. Is there room to flip the kick up spring around so it's not hanging over the interior of the box?
    BTW, This riffle is turning out great!
