My grandma used to play this song all the time with me and my dad and she died just two weeks ago and we played this song at her funeral. Unfortunately one of her albums that has several of my favorite of her original songs ("Small Town Lies") recently just disappeared ("Video blocked in country"). I hope that is temporary, but a few of the others are pretty good, too. If you only have time to listen to one or two, I'd suggest starting with "Marlboro Man", "Cowgirl Song", "Thank God For Good Old Boys", or "Feels Like Home". The cover she did of "Hold Me Now" is another you might like. Or not. You never know when everyone's taste in music is unique.

My son learned to play guitar at 9 his guitar teacher told me when he was 11 there's was nothing more he could teach him. He's just a natural. I love him so dearly. He plays this for me all the time. I recently stumbled upon the cover she did of in the air tonight and was wildly impressed....now I find this just must be my 🎵 musical lucky day. Sharing with him immediately. I hope he knows that even when he lives outside the guidelines of the song lyrics I will simply still love him. And I wasn't a simple person to live with. His diebetes has put him into a place where it's not so simple to simply live, it isn't for any of us...like the song says troubles will come and they will pass. I think he feels like they will never pass. I don't know how it feels to have a daily illness that needs constant attention and I feel for him so much. This song brings me to my knees. I'm so afraid to lose him.
