Yeah, Go->Home->console game legendary/mythical transfers has always worked this way. It's an intentional mechanic to keep mythicals from being devalued by Go too much. You can't bring a Go Deoxys into BDSP unless you bring one from ORAS (or earlier) first, you can't bring a Go Zarude into SwSh unless you bring an event one first, etc. I think it's unnecessarily gatekeep-y and unfair to people who never had the earlier games or missed event distributions, but. Their rules.

So basically unless I transfer my Zapdos from Eevee...and send it to home and then Scarlet, I cannot send across all my Zapdos from GO to home and then to Scarlet?

I want to thank you. You got a like and sub from me. Just bought a Switch and Scarlet, which is my first Nintendo console since my GBA SP when they came out when I was a kid. I’ve played other Pokémon games through emulation and Pokémon Go, but nothing that has involved Home, so I was super confused as to why I couldn’t get my Legendaries to go to Scarlet. Greatly appreciate the video. Particularly how simple you made this without the unnecessary details or added video length. You’re awesome!

Does this work for deoxys as well? I was trying to do it for shining pearl and someone said I need to trade with another players pokemon home to make it transferable
Great video. I know another way to transfer it without having to have the Pokemon of the same species. If you can't get the same Pokemon somehow all you need to do is trade that Pokemon in Pokemon Home transfer it to Scarlet and Violet and trade it with the person you gave it to in Scarlet and Violet and there you go. However, if you have two switches and two mobile apps you could do it with yourself
Can you transfer Pokémon that aren’t legendary to scarlet or violet from Pokémon go or can you just transfer legendary and you have to have two of the same type?

I have a hoopa and a Meloetta on Pokemon go only one each of course from their quest and it won't let me transfer it over to Violet are they never going to fix this problem

I was quite sad that I transferred my Mew from Pokemon GO to HOME only to find out that I still need to spend $60 😔 (I just don't have space on my Switch to download let's go and claim Mew)

Melloetta is in scarlet and violet. There is a trick to getting her, and also I explained how to get the Pokemon in your game if can't find a way to require said pokemon
Thank you for telling me that but I do have a shiny rayquaza and palka from Pokémon go. and I do have legends of palka but not rayquaza to move to Pokémon scarlet so I do need help someone can give rayquaza to trade and trade back in order to break that symbol it’s very annoying and I don’t like home is doing
This doesnt make any sense becuz i sent my Mewtwo from Go to Scarlet snd it worked (i never had a Mewtwo in scarlet before that) but now i cant transfer Rayquaza from Go to Scarlet??? I don't get why it let me do Mewtwo but not Rayquaza? Am i missing something?

If it's not native to scarlet and violet they have to be transferred from other Pokémon games. If you have one in Pokémon go you would first have to transfer one from a console game before you send from PoGo
So if I want to bring in a Froakie to Violet, I have to get another one from a legit game???

It is its own Pokémon with its own stats. It's OT will be your Pokémon Go name

You can get Meloetta in scarlet and violet so you don't need to worry about that, but I explained how you can put it in your game if you can't find another one of that Pokemon or you can't find anyone that has that exact Pokemon

This actually isnt true, you can get alot of these through GO if your lucky and that can be tranfered to HOME then to main games
I didn't say that every Pokémon from go is not transferable. But legendaries and mythicas fall under this.
