When it's been a little while, and I finally get some edibles again, I will set aside some time to get silly and watch Reefer Madness. If you think it's unintentionally funny sober, imagine being high. I'll switch up the version I'm watching, sometimes I'll watch the musical, sometimes I'll stick to the original, and sometimes I'll watch the colorized version and try to catch the 420 frames they sneaked in there. It's always a good time, and it never fails to make me laugh. I find something else to laugh about every time. Of course I laugh at the classic stuff too. "Very niiiccceee" always gets me, and the amount that dude salts his food. I wish there were screenings like Rocky Horror or The Room for Reefer Madness. Imagine being in a theater of high people throwing salt at the screen.
Legitimately, I want to open a dispensary and lounge (I even know how I want to do it: buy a duplex and have the dispensary on one side and the lounge on the other) and call it "Mae's Place" and I want to show the movie every Friday night.
The first time I saw this was following a piece the Fifth Estate did on legalizing MARIHUANA here in Canada in 2015. I do believe this movie made me laugh harder than any joint I had that year or in years prior, and the musical was even better.
Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical is a must watch after seeing the original. The musical is intentionally hilarious.
Ironically this makes the actaul reefer madness movie wayyy better because its unintentionally funny
