- Indiana Fever players Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, along with head coach Christie Sides, postgame presser after 81-74 win at Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon at Target Center.
It was a close game throughout with 14 ties and 11 lead changes. The Fever held the Lynx below 84 points - the magic number - and to just 14 points in the final period. Boston led them with 17 points and 16 assists. Mitchell scored a game-high 21 points and had a key block late. Clark, who has had so much success in Minneapolis, added 17 points and six assists.
It was a sellout (18,978) with the majority being Fever and Caitlin Clark fans. The Fever are now 11-14 with one more game before the All-Star and Olympic break.

Becoming bigger fan of Aliyah every day. She runs the court, hits the boards, has great b-ball IQ. Her footwork and ability to use both hands to score is well above average. This group is starting to gel.
Getting into shape did a lot for her. She's lost a good 15 pounds since game 1.
And then right after a win or a loss, she’s such a sweetie. 😊 Very level-headed. Team needs this!

Just when I am thinking that Kelsey Mitchell is the "goat" of the game (in the old fashion sense), she suddenly becomes the hero of the game. These three are a good trio and can only get better. The rest of the season should be fun to watch.
And this was the first game I have seen Mitchell act like a team player all the way through, I am so glad she has adapted

Mitchell is good and is needed by this team BUT she needs to be more disciplined and that's a coach Sides issue.
Boston these past two games have been irreplaceable. CC and Kelsey will always find their way but Boston is the key to team success.

I’ve never watched the WNBA before. Now that I have, the Fever have a great, young core. Boston is awesome. She’s way more athletic than a lot of the other bigs I see.
I was surprised they didn’t ask Kelsey about her hustle at the end of the game. Her foul shots and then her steal sealed the game for them. Kelsey is such an inspiration as far as her work ethic is concerned. She never stops working and hustling and I haven’t ever seen her miss a foul shot. Plus she’s such a sweet girl as is Boston.

Yeah I was sad the didn't ask her specifically about that block and her amazing play in the 4th.
It made me sad that they switched to asking about the Olympics just at the end. She was the focus; it was the perfect time to comment about her block!

These three players are inspirational! Physical talent, mental toughness and totally grounded. Nobody is trying to take the spotlight, they all contribute and the chemistry is a beautiful thing to watch.

This was a great team win! Every player had several super plays. High bball iq today. KM with some great clutch defense. AB dominated and was a steady veteran. Hull was a spark. Katie Lou some great moves. Smith played big. 4th quarter we looked poised and played with veteran swag. And coach contributed by keeping Wheeler on the bench in the 4th which imo was the game winning play.
A true team win, y’all. Gutsy. Congrats!

The Fever team is maturing week after week. I saw some very positive things on display from this team
during the Lynx Fever game that kind of surprised me and at the same time made me smile. At the end of the 3rd Qtr I could see that they looked like they must have hit the wall as far as being gritty and determined to continue their matching the Minnesota Lynx play for play. This worried me at first, but
then both teams went into the last quarter and saw that the Indiana Fever began to take charge in running plays and their offense had a renewed attitude with the moving of the basketball and covering for each other near the basket. It was awesome to see. The Fever players were getting better position after every shot . They were getting more rebounds and in turn scoring more points. This is how teams excel when
things get tight and the pressure is on. They picked up their game!! The team took charge and won the game. Way to go ladies, I hope you can carry this new attitude with you as you finish your season and enter the playoffs.

I cringe everytime I her Christie Sides.
I think the aim is to have flexible choices for certain scenarios. Once they proficiently move the ball around, CC can get more open looks. CC gets double teamed when she brings the ball down and is PG. Just need more scenarios to not be predictable. Future gains.
