      Technically this is Eurodance. Techno is a genre originating in the '80s that sounds totally different. I s'pose it all sounds the same to people that aren't into electronic music though, bloody philistines ;)

  • @ArkDL1
    @ArkDL1 Před 4 měsíci +1

    Apparently an excellent solution, but to be sure of its sustainability we should ask ourselves:
    1- What is the cost of this operation?
    2- Where are these machines located? It is clear that if they were to be moved covering hundreds/thousands of km, the ecological balance of the operation could be deficient.
    3- What percentage chances are there that the tree placed in a new home will survive? From what we have seen, we have the clear feeling that a large part of the root system can be cut, significantly reducing the life of the tree.
    In short, I have many doubts about this operation. I believe that the best solution to avoid cutting trees is to conceive projects that take into account their presence and their need for space and light. A happy coexistence is possible. You just have to want it 🙂

    If you plan to move a tree. Do you dig a hole with this big machine before you pull the tree out of the ground?

  • @jackusdk
    @jackusdk Před 7 lety +2

    What they leave out is the prep. They have to dig a hole to receive the tree. Presumably they use the dirt from the receiving hole to put in the hole made by the removed tree. But where does it sit in the meantime? On its own? In some kind of holding shell? In a pile?
    Btw, twerps, the music is fine, just turn down the volume.

    • @TheIdunnoblud
      @TheIdunnoblud Před 7 lety +1

      you do realise they're using two of those tree spades... you can see them at the beginning of the video

    • @jackusdk
      @jackusdk Před 7 lety +1

      TheIdunnoblud So what? They say they are "testing" two machines. They do not show the receiving hole being made. This is a major omission, since they seem to be evading the fact that TWO of these monsters, requiring a big investment, are necessary. Perhaps only one is required, but in any case they should show the COMPLETE process.

    • @TheIdunnoblud
      @TheIdunnoblud Před 7 lety +2

      Really? You're just being unnecessarily pedantic. The intro says "Pre-shipment testing of two 100" spades for Chase Farms" so they're both going to the same client, nothing is being evaded. Well, either way, they clearly used two of them. The one used to remove the tree was brand new, it had no dirt on the spades so it couldn't have been the same one that made another "receiving hole".

      Jonathan Delgado with our 80 inch spade we've picked up trees with 8 inches on diameter or so. So a 100 inch spade could probably go for a 10 inch tree but that's a lot of roots to cut on a big tree so a bit risky

    In apparenza un'ottima soluzione, ma per essere certi della sua sostenibilità dovremmo chiederci:
    1- Qual'è il costo di tale operazione?
    2- Dove sono collocati questi macchinari? E' evidente che se dovessero essere spostati percorrendo centinaia/migliaia di km, il bilancio ecologico dell'operazione potrebbe risultare deficitario.
    3- Quante sono percentualmente le possibilità che l'albero posto a nuova dimora possa sopravvivere? Per quanto visto si ha la netta sensazione che buona parte dell'apparato radicale possa essere tagliato riducendo sensibilmente la vita dell'albero.
    In estrema sintesi, nutro molti dubbi su tale operazione. Credo che la soluzione migliore per evitare di tagliare alberi sia quella di concepire progetti che tengano in debito conto la loro presenza e la loro necessità di spazio e luce. Una felice convivenza è possibile. Basta volerlo 🙂

    I wonder about the tree's life after the transplantation. It doesn't have its roots anymore and without them, how can they resist a strong storm? Maybe it needs some mechanical system that hold the tree for a while until their roots became strong again. Anyway, I understand that the purpose of this video is just show the machine.

      The undisturbed soil around the tree seems to be held tightly together. The depth looks to be substantial and the amount of soil @ with a width of 100” wide going back into the same size hole perfectly wouldn’t really need anything more. The mass of the soil around the roots will hold it in place just fine. The root system of the trees around me don’t go nearly as deep as that machine just dug up.

      Dutchman tree spades are all built with ultra-strong cold formed blades and use high pressure hydraulics. Even in rocky soil, the blades will go through, although it may take a bit longer in those conditions. Actually mike that spade is over sized for that size of tree. I would give that tree 99% chance of survival. The roots that you are talking about are anchor roots and all they do is hold the tree up. I speak from experience of moving large trees for 18+ years. And yes I move trees much bigger than this all the time. Looking at this machine I would have to say it is not built very strong however, this spade would not last as long as some others I have operated.

    من المعروف ان زراعة الاشجار او نقلها يتم عن طريق نقل الشتلات الصغيرة
    او الاشجار الصغيرة من مكان زراعتها الى المكان المراد ان
    تظل فيه بإستمرار ولكن من الغريب ان تتم عملية نقل شجرة كبيرة ناضجة
    من مكانها الى مكان اخر لانه من الطبيعى ان تلك العملية صعبة ولكن
    مع التطور فى العلم والتكنولوجيا والوسائل الحديثة لايوجد شئ
    صعب فالوسائل والادوات الحديثة جعلت كل شئ ممكن وسهل .
    أن عملية نقل لإحدى الاشجار الكبيرة من مكانها الى مكان اخر
    بشكل سهل وبسيط وبطريقة منظمة جدا وسريعة مما يجعلك تستغرب
    من تللك البساطة والسهولة فى التنفيذ حيث يتم الاستعانة بإحدى العربات
    المخصصة لذلك حيث يوجد بها من الخلف جزى يغرس فى الارض ويحتوى
    الشجرة ويقوم باقتلاعها من جذورها مع الحفاظ على التربة او الطى المحيط
    بالجذور ويرفعها معزولة تماما عن الهواء حتى لا يصيب الشجرة اى ضرر
    من عملية النقل كانك تقوم بنقل شجرة صغيرة كما تشاهدونها فى المشاتل ملفوفة
    الجذور ومعزولة عن الهواء ويتم نقلها الى مكان اخر ويتم انزال الشجرة فى حفرة
    تم اعدادها مسبقا ليتم زرع الشجرة فيها وبعد تللك العملية تشاهد الشجرة كان المكان
    الجديد الذى وضعت فيه هو المكان الاصلى الذى زرعت فيه من البداية أكثر من إبداع .

      الله يبارك فيك انانقلت شجره كبيره بمجهود فردي وكان معي شخصين حيث تم حفر من جوانب الشجره وجدنا ان جذورها طويله جداوكبيره وتم تقليم الجذور وتقصيرها وتم نقل تلك الشجره ووضعتها في حفره مليئه بالتراب لكن تلك الشجره لم تثبت وقمنابوضع حجاركبيره على الجذور لتثبيتها ودفنها بالتراب...لنا يومين من هذا العمل ...رأيك بارك الله فيك.

    What's the point of taking a tree out and putting it right back?

      You see it's a demonstration, right? The point is to move the tree to another place...
