I wished I had found you when I was getting cameras. I will be calling as I’ve found something you have. Great video, thanks
Thank you so much. I didn’t think of someone being able to throw a chain around the camera to yank it down!! Great information!

Hi the issue with domes especially the what I call goldfish bowl is the night vision as the rain carry’s dust particles and at night the ir reflects off them blaring them out. With the bullett camera with the sun shield also acts as a rain shield so is better over all long as up high enough.
Good input but the fact is the IR night vision will reflect off the dust in front of a bullet camera just as it does with a dome camera. You have mixed two issues. Some dome cameras do not have a tight seal between the lens and the dome. This allows the IR light to reflect off the dome back into the lens. The old domes had this problem. The new domes do not. The IR reflecting off dust is universal with night vision cameras. We have hundreds of video examples from both domes and bullets showing this effect.
@@BackstreetCameras highly disagree. Been in the security industry for 15 years. Most domes suck outside, period. Uv discoloration and ir reflection is so much worse with domes than with turrets and bullets.. why do you think most ptzs are moving to domeless
Informative video although it would've been nice to give us a sample of the footage through each camera style.
Good idea! No problem, here are links to video samples: www.backstreet-surveillance.com/ip-security-camera-systems/ip-security-cameras.html
Very good information. Especially for first timers.
Glad it was helpful!

Had the same question and this helped me decide; thanks.
Great to hear!
Hi, Mac.. We are still waiting for your final evaluation on the mini camera samples that we sent.. Have a great weekend !
We have tested the camera and our technical center is writing the review. We'll have it completed next week. Thx
Thank you, Mac !! : )
I am looking for an affordable budget camera system what do you recommend with a minimum of 4 cameras under $300 Or should I go with these new in dependent PTZ cameras that record to ASD card so I don't need a DVR or NVR?
I do not know of a system worth owning at the $300 mark. With security cameras you get what you pay for. The PTZ option is at the other end of the scale price wise. I'd look at some solutions in between. The one thing I know for sure is keep your $300, there is no system that works well at that price point. Read reviews. Hope this helps.
Hello, Friend Could you help me. I bought 8 channel Nvr 8580 with 8 4K spotlight cameras. I’m using 6 cameras and running on cat 6 network cable. Everything is fine but vehicle and human are moving slow. I update firmware and reset all settings still same issue. Could you let me know how to fix it.
Sadly low cost systems save money by putting an unsuitable video processor in them. I think its likely the system does not have the processing power needed for all the cameras. Remove a few cameras and see if the others speed up. If they do, its just a low quality unit. Sorry hope this helps.
Hi we have a house , in the netherlands we call it rijtjeshuizen ,so all houses are next to eachother , with only a fence between and we have a backyard not that big just average what do you prefer:)
Narrow long corridors between homes can be hard to cover (long and skinny), the key is being able to adjust the cameras view. We would recommend a camera with either a manual zoom lens or motorized zoom lens. Being able to easily adjust the cameras view is the key. Here are some links to suggested cameras.

Can the dome also equally view 120 ft night vision.
Yes it can!
can I get a quote from you for a residential security system that lets me se at least 50 feet from the camera, and has a 2 way voice communications? four cams and one NVR w/2TB of memory.
We would be glad to provide a quote. Please give us a call, we can have a line-item quote sent to you in just a few minutes. Backstreet Surveillance 800-431-3056
Is the dome cameras waterproof?I mean will it fog the lens if left outside on a cold night?
They are IP67 rated which means you can drop them in a bucket of water and the only thing you will see is crystal clear video, they are completely water tight. Thanks for the question.
@@BackstreetCameras that's ip68.
I would like to know if there is anything at all to keep spiders of my cameras it happens every night
Spider spray. No real industry secrete to share on this topic. But they are a pain the *!#&%.
@@BackstreetCameras I wonder if insect spray will harm the paint, or make the camera a sticky mess, the sprays always seem thick and sticky after you spray them.
I'm thinking a "dome" and a "turret" camera are two totally different things. A "Dome" camera has a physical dome over the lens apparatus. The camera in your video is a turret because the lens is not covered by a dome.
Hi Garret, yes it is a turret, we use the terminology most people use, we speak with thousands of customers a month and the overwhelming term used to describe that style of camera is "dome" not turret. At exactly 11 seconds into the video I explain its also called a turret style housing. Thanks for the comment.
Hi are you on eBay?
Thanks for asking but no we do market on eBay. But you can buy anything we offer on our website. www.Backstreet-Surveillance.com
Birds like to sit on the bullet cameras and make it real messy. No so much with the Dome.
Good point. Thanks
Also spiders. Cant leave webs on dome but like to put one on shade protector. IR + webs + wind is hundred alerts on one night. Usually at high place where cant reach easy.
One major problem with bullet camera is spider web because they can attach it on the sun shield and threads crossing camera's view field is a real problem at night as the glow a lot with IR light (not really visible daylight) even more when there is wind.
Thanks for the contribution, you are exactly correct!
Here is the difference: 2:43
Thank you!
As I'm installing my bullet cameras made by a competitor I notice that all it takes to remove the camera is to unscrew the hand tightened mounting nut and the entire camera comes off the wall. Great, a security camera that has no security. Why would you want to break into my house when you can go around the exterior of my house and steal $3,000 worth of security cameras wearing a hoodie sunglasses and a mask. Should of got the Dome cameras.
You'll be alright, a burglar does not know the cameras are that easy to tamper with. Thank for the comment.
