From what I’ve read, Vince and Paul were arguing constantly and people inside WWE were shocked Paul made it this long, it seems Vince just wants someone who can sell his shit to the talent without complaint
Heyman could do the "New Dangerous Alliance" thing whenever he wanted, but why should he? It's a 1 time thing so why would he want to do it right now when there's half a roster and 75% the eyes on the product? Lesnar won't be back till Bobby Lashley has been turned babyface. Calling it.
Bruce Prichard is a typical yes man. He will always support even the worst booking decisions! Heyman says what he thinks about certain decisions Vince made. But Prichard will always be fine with Vince and his ideas! And that sucks.
I remember it like it was yesterday, everyone was praising the booking of Heyman off of one spot in a match, between Lashley and Strowman when they went through the LED board last year on RAW. ALOT of people thought they were getting the Attitude era back! LMAOOO
Paul Heyman had no power in my eyes. He could have the greatest ideas you’ve ever heard of but as long as Vince is the one who has to give the okay it matters fuck all.
I like Paul E but the show wasn't getting any better and the ratings proved that. Heyman was great in ECW but that was 1994 -1999 ,those days are gone. I feel like Paul has gotten a pass for years but when the show was bad its Vince's fault. Cant have it both ways. Pat Patterson really deserves alot of credit with the ideas WWF had years ago.
It seems like it was a combination of things. Lack of star power, and at the time Viacom didn’t want too promote 2 wrestling companies. Then of course the alliance angle centered around the McMahon family. I always think what would have happened if they waited a year when the aol contracts ran out
Weird thing is russo a year a ago by saying bischoff, heyman and bruce would all work eachother till one b*lls*itted the other two out and he said it’ll be bruce as he’s the biggest back stabber..... here we are with the guy who wrote wwe in 1995 doing it in 2020 god help us lol
I think the secret to Vince's "success" is that he does business with people who essentially doesn't watch wrestling. Because all of his excuses as to why business has a downturn is complete bullshit to the majority who watches it.
What happened to Ryan Ward, the guy who was Triple H’s right hand man in creative for the best years of NXT? Is he still with the company, does anyone know?
What people don’t want to admit.. the acrobatic indie style guys on the roster are not a draw. I understand creative plays a massive role with the development of these characters. But at the end of the day they do not bring any appeal to the audience at home or in the crowd. I know a lot of smarks get in an uproar when they don’t see their beloved new Japan, ROH guys getting the CM punk and Daniel Bryan moments, but there’s validity as to why they don’t deserve it. Guys like Seth Rollins, Balor, Kofi Kingston, Becky Lynch, and Askua are not what’s going to bring in mass ratings. Say what you want about a guy like Roman reigns, sure he’s not the greatest thing ever but he’s the closest thing to what was good about wrestling in the late 90s and early 2000s. Believe me, I fell victim into despising the guy but there’s a reason why they positioned him the way they did.
MerrieMelodies Fan it’s not even just the look aspects. The guys in the 90s - 2000s had charisma and believability. Austin, Michaels, Brett, Jericho didn’t fit the body builder image but still did mass business because of their delivery and charisma.
The old man is gonna run is own business to the ground. As long as he keeps this territorial mentality over the "product" he will alienate all those stupid enough to have stuck with him all these years. And the thing is it'll be sad if it happens but wrestling exists elsewhere, and done better.
14:30 WWE has been doing this for the last DECADE at least. I'm doing fantasy booking of the Nexus on my channel and in it I say the exact same thing that Solomonster has said. I did put in the nostalgia in my re-booking videos but they have a secondary role. In my latest installment I have Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels as co-GMs where Hart represents Nexus since I build off of him being bitter about the Screwjob in my fantasy booking.
For all this talk about Bruce Prichard being a yes man or a kiss ass, I will say this: I find Smackdown to be a much more enjoyable show than Raw. Yeah it sucks that Heyman was used as a scapegoat, but if Raw really is the vision of Paul Heyman and Smackdown really is the vision of Bruce Prichard, then I honestly can’t be too upset about this.
So Twitter Crybabies at it again. Everyone has the criticism but no ideas. AEW was overhyped and its showing across the board. People want megastars not Jericho and Cody
In more positive news, NJPW is back! And AEW is still chugging along! I legit haven't watched WWE since the SD debut on Fox. I really dont think there's anything they could do at this point for me to start watching again. Outside of some nostalgia pop or something.
Bottom line people are as a whole being worn out by too much wrestling. You have 5 hours of raw/smackdown in addition to 12 PPV's a year (sometimes 2 in a space of a month) THey either need to have some sort of off-season OR go back to the main 5 rumble, mania, KOTR, summerslam, and survivor series.
I think you're being a bit unfair to Paul Heyman. Since he's taken over, he's made stars of Andrade, Apollo Crews, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley etc. I think he was doing a good job and he just needed more time
I at least give Paul Heyman credit for trying to push new and young wrestlers I love wrestling but anymore when I hear Vince is high on a new and young wrestler I won't believe It until it actually happens
No one should even be surprised by this. Vince McMahon's BS humor will be on these shows more than "great" storytelling and sensible feuds. I'm more a part of the "I told you so" crowd now.
Vince: bischoff, i gotta job for ya pal....eric: ok vince I'm bringing my family up and moving into a new house...vince: GOTCHA BITCH. YOUR FIIIIRRREEDDD
Now you know why pritchards podcast he never said anything bad or disagreed with what vince did or does he is no fool pro wwe all the way and it got him his job back after 10 years plus because his ass kidsing is beyond anyone else in wwe
Vince loves to truly oversee everything.. Nobody could run things there without Vince involvement.. Pritchard knows that well... On top of that. he's WWE biggest kiss ass... But I got the feeling heyman will leave WWE soon anyway.. Probably before the year's up.
heyman gets fired every 5 years lol so i knew it was a matter of time ... bruce prichard is more of a team player for vince than somebody to test or question his authority so
Paul Heyman isn't a genius anyway. If you look back on his work in managing ECW, all those storyline angles they did on ECW wasn't entirely Heyman's ideas. It was the wrestler's creative ideas. Heyman didn't know Raven was gonna do the Sandman's crucifixion. Everything was freelance in ECW, meaning the wrestlers can do whatever they want, and Paul Heyman let's them. He lets them go extreme and violent. That makes ECW unique than WCW and WWE. He also didn't do a good job managing ECW reboot. It's not freelance anymore. It's under WWE. Heyman did a horrible job on booking and advertising December to Dismembered. He only advertised 2 matches. If Heyman didn't create storylines in ECW, and failed to manage ECW reboot, that doesn't make him a wrestling genius. The only thing Heyman is good at was pushing the right people. That's how Smackdown 2002-2003 was a better show than Raw that time.
Remember that stephanie is still really in charge of the writing staff. You really think vince is ever gonna hold his daughter accountable for the crap they come up with?
Not gonna lie. I’m surprised Heyman lasted a year in the role

I always think what would have happened if they waited a year when the aol contracts ran out
Those in privilege will not speak out for fear of losing that privilege.
Mannn this was such a good clip! Loved every minute of it! Listened on my way to, from and during my grocery run.
Daniel Bryant was already a star in with the fans.... It's a shame wwe took a long time to see it.
@@chriskimmel7252 R.I.P Daniel Bryant
@@chriskimmel7252... I was thinking the same thing!
29:50 vince russo?
I think the secret to Vince's "success" is that he does business with people who essentially doesn't watch wrestling. Because all of his excuses as to why business has a downturn is complete bullshit to the majority who watches it.
What happened to Ryan Ward, the guy who was Triple H’s right hand man in creative for the best years of NXT? Is he still with the company, does anyone know?
I stopped watching it's boring Vince is losing his mind and AEW never cared for it the wrestling product is boring all around
Why keep hiring people who you don’t like or are unwilling to listen to their ideas?
The magic is gone it's simple now we have dudes from the UK telling us wats happening and finishes and so forth. No more wrestling
Imao Brother Iove been puckering up to the MiIIion DoIIar Mcmahon for forever! "My benefactor..."
True, but it's not the 80's anymore. Getting by with just looks doesn't cut it anymore.
WWE is the overall most enjoyable promotion in North America.
Love bayley in them jeans
Bayley Booty
The Yes Man Cometh!!!
Agree with the comment about TWD the whisperer arc has been thrilling to watch
Sounds like Chris Jericho wwf debut in 1999.
Jason "pop a good one out" Solomonster 🍾
I think you're being a bit unfair to Paul Heyman. Since he's taken over, he's made stars of Andrade, Apollo Crews, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley etc. I think he was doing a good job and he just needed more time
It’s a show written for one person
Man, when Vince McMahon dies..........does the product get better???????
Big mistake firing, Heyman. If you thought Raw and Smackdown couldn't get any worse? Let's just see how much worse it can get.
I at least give Paul Heyman credit for trying to push new and young wrestlers I love wrestling but anymore when I hear Vince is high on a new and young wrestler I won't believe It until it actually happens
Paul was only hired to shut fans up for a while but I thought raw was still just OK at best even with him running things
No one should even be surprised by this. Vince McMahon's BS humor will be on these shows more than "great" storytelling and sensible feuds. I'm more a part of the "I told you so" crowd now.
Smh Vince needs to gooooo away
Brother love biggest comeback in wwe history?
Who or what will be sacrificed at the next investor call?
Well, Paul Heyman was once in a WWE Title match.
heyman gets fired every 5 years lol so i knew it was a matter of time ... bruce prichard is more of a team player for vince than somebody to test or question his authority so
This is why I don’t watch wwe anymore I watch the old school wwf that’s when wrestling was great, raw and smackdown are ass💪💪💪
New mic ?
Just tweaked a few settings :)
Hey, what’s wrong with Hall and Oates?
Why would anything be wrong with Hall and Oates? Do you not listen to my shows? They're my favorite band.
Solomonster Sounds Off haven’t listen in awhile. Just got back to watching your stuff.
Hall and Oates are the best
@@TheSolomonster Out of Touch is 1 song which describes Vince perfectly.
People say jim cornette I'd put touch so is paul heyman paul heyman was a decent booker at best
Remember that stephanie is still really in charge of the writing staff. You really think vince is ever gonna hold his daughter accountable for the crap they come up with?
