      I'm so glad I got into watching MMA just when Conor won his first couple UFC fights. I was so incredibly immersed into everything UFC during the run up to this fight. Everyone was expecting a brawl for the ages. I was losing my mind during Buffers announcements even. Such a crazy night

    What a crazy time in MMA that was! No one was messing with Jose Aldo at that point in time, he was running through everyone and anyone. Conor beat him mentally prior to beating him physically, complete art of war.

    McGregor, without an ounce of visible nervous energy, looking across the cage at a seemingly unbeatable Jose Aldo and saying "Let's go boy", and then proceeds to knock him out in the exact way he predicted he would, was just unreal.
    Dude was on another level. And those Mystic Mac moments- calling his shots and it happening, was also wild.
    The Aldo, Poirier 1, and Alvarez fights had McGregor looking like he was heading to GOAT status.
    Oh well. Either way, that rise was legendary. And easily the most entertaining fighter to watch.

    Every single person in the UFC owes Connor McGregor. McGregor understood the promotion game. He even understood that someone had to play the heel to get the drama going. Nobody promoted and gained popularity for the UFC like McGregor did. He is a great fighter, but an even better promoter.

    Mannnnnn I wish conor still fought like this. You can see the light in his eyes, he looks young and healthy, still full of energy. And Joe's comment hit the nail on the head... he looks so relaxed especially compared to aldo. It kind of makes me sad because conor doesn't have this same energy before his fights anymore. I really think the porier fight could've been one of the best beatdowns if it weren't for him breaking his leg. Both dudes wanted that win really bad, and that makes for a damn good fight. I really wish we could have got a full fight, regardless if conor won or not because we all knew it would've been a good one and we really could've settled the argument of who deserves to fight oliveira

      Yup that was him at his best mixing in kicks (especially his nasty spinning back kicks to the gut). IMO him going and boxing Floyd was the worst thing for him because after he trained for that fight he became WAY to reliant on traditional boxing and the power of his left hand. Completely different fighter pre and post Mayweather fight and it sucks.
