This song has a special place in my heart !!! Not just because wolf is Estonian national animal but the windmill battle between Tuomas and Floor ....holy mother of Odin !!!
The title is taken from a King's novel called “Wolves of the Calla”. But the conception of the book has nothing to do with the text behind the song, it is far more inspired by the film "Dead Poets' Society". The main idea is - one must live his life the best he can, to strive for his aims, because the wolves are always 7 days behind you and they will catch you if your life is not of full value... and then you will be only dead meat.
That's what Tuomas said in one interview some time ago.

The reason for why Floor has all that swagger and intensity is because she was in full Warrior Queen Mode for this one XD
This is a powerful and very well staged performance. Floor transformed to a true werewolf at the end. Haha, her spirit animals are The Wolf and Dog, so they are tattooed also behind her ears. 🐺🐶👍 (i saw in the morning 😜😱...or was i only dreaming 😳)

I think the band were all pumped to be playing Wembley arena. Whilst everyone seems to focus on the 2013 Wacken show which was great, IMHO the Wembley 2015 show shows the band at its very best married with an amazing stage set and top technical delivery of the sound.
Yes, i totally agree. But Wacken, is the first great show for Floor with a huge crowd in Europe. (See her reaction to herself of GLS). In Wembley and later, (BA), she is the face and voice from Nightwish. But Wembley is awesome, the Setlist, only Wow 🤘😊🤗

@@TJMiton The show is great, but unfortunately, the final audio mix for this isn't that good, imho. In parts, there is virtually no mid range in Floor's vocals for one thing. I've watched the Wacken, Tampere, and Buenos Aires DVDs dozens of time. This one...once...literally. Barona Areena is a MUCH better version of this song, for me.

The bit where Floor roars at the end is the best part for me as well as the song being great.. Our concert was supposed to be Thursday just gone but unfortunately our show has been postponed and we are waiting for a new date. I hope your concert date goes ahead, you will enjoy it so much.

I saw Nightwish live, about 3-4 years ago. But sadly, I was too new to the band to properly appreciate it. Now I'm set to see them again in the Spring, and I voted NOT be more excited! 🤘😎👍
This is a great song, full of small details which makes it so good. And what I really appreciate in Nightwish songs is the background technics, especially pyrotechnics. Great timing and carefully thought how pyros should be carried out to emphasize the song. Not just to add it there with no meaning. Band of quality.

Very different energy in the show at Wembley to Wacken, from what's on video anyway. Wish I could have been to either of them.

This is such a great Nightwish composition - made possible because Floor joined the band. It's close to her powerful style from After Forever and ReVamp - Floor is pure power on stage - besides her being the greatest emotional ballad singer as well....

I just realised, you haven't heard The Islander yet, right? You should definitely do that, I know you will love it. Watch it in the "live at Tampere" version. It is basically Marco singing the song solo in a break in the show. And it is wonderful. You will love it so much, I promise.

One of the best. They are all enjoying it so much. Just look at Emppu! Marko as usual hardly mentioned but giving it almost as much as Floor.

This is definitely one of my all time favourites. The band is on fire...but Floor,...my Goddess she is something else here. Out of body experience.

This is definitely one of Nightwish's heavier offerings, although I'm not sure how many of the heavier ones can be in the setlist going forward, simply because they rely on Marko's vocals so much.
Troy is great for backing harmonies and even lead vocals on softer pieces, but it would be wrong to demand the Marko level of power from him and might damage his voice.
Other than the vocals, I love the way Troy is keeping the beat on his Irish bouzouki, both in concert with Kai, and also alone to allow Kai to put in some flourishes off the beat.
I'm pretty sure you will be safe for GLS when you go live, as I don't know of it ever being out of the setlist since it was brought back by Floor in 2012, with her own ending.
It won't be the same of course, but I thought Floor and Troy handled Planet Hell surprisingly well. If that's any indication, it seems there are ways to make most songs work.

Greetings and Love from Germany. I live near Köln/Cologne. Düsseldorf isn't far away. I would go too...but sadwise Düsseldorf is postponed again. I have Tickets for Iron Maiden in Cologne from 2020. But fuc ing Corona came and said 'NO'.

Sorry your concert has been postponed. I know how you feel - I had 3 tickets for Cardiff in December 2020 - cancelled. Rescheduled to Birmingaham 2021 - cancelled. Rescheduled for Birmingham yesterday - 18th November ..... cancelled !!! So frustrated. Am very ancient so hope I'm still be alive to use the tickets when they next perform. Have a great time when you eventually see them.
If all goes well (I had tickets for last year and concert has been postponed twice already), I should see them in London Wembley Arena on Dec. 13th. Cross finger covid does not prevent travelling to UK (or anywhere for that matter) - Hamburg will be my next stop (already postponed twice) - have fun in Dusseldorf

This was one of the few NW songs I actually liked with Anette Olzon. I liked her sweetness and vulnerability in her voice....

HI Sabina, I am one of your subs. I was one making the suggestions of both Pentatonix and Voctave. I did not know that Pentatinox had problems with their publishing company blocking their videos. I personally think that is a very foolish decision, especially from a business point of view because reaction videos can be giant promotion tools comparted to what little they might save, keeping you from using the video. In any case there is a clip of Voctave featuring Kristin ( female singer ) of Pentatinox doing another Disney medley. Like the first Voctave video you did. this one is no less in any way. It is pretty crazy. I think the advantage you have with the A Capella groups is that you know exactly what is going on. You know the x's and o's of how it works and because of that you are able to pint out things that we don't notice. Voctave does not block their videos that I have heard and they even sell karaoke versions of these on their website for about $5 US. which is 4.4 euros. That may just be Floor's most powerful vocal performance. She was belting out like a beast vocally! A beautiful beast of course. Love the melody of the Chorus.
