The Camel Cup in Marree South Australia is a recognition of the town’s unique heritage and commemorates the pioneering spirit of the Afghan camel drivers who came to this part of the world and made it their home.
But there is more to this race then meets the eye. In 2017 Back Roads presenter Heather Ewart joined Junee-Marree Elleway as she embarked on a courageous journey with camels Big Al and Crackers on the Oodnadatta track.
