    I added marker lights down my 24ft equipment trailer as you did. A few of the amber lights I made work with my blinker. 3 per side - so approximately every 8 ft. Somebody driving a lane over on a highway can see I'm coming over from anywhere along the vehicle and trailer. I also tricked it out with some underlighting which helps immensely with knowing right where the trailer is at night when backing up and the cool factor of changing colors (can even make them flash amber for roadside emergency). I also, added a 48" light bar mounted underneath on a 5ft x 3" pc of channel for protection.and stability, operates from a switch for lighting up the back and behind my trailer for night loading and that lights also when i place mty truck in reverse. My trailer is 102" w so I mounted 2 36" light bars at the front for night loading and lighting the deck. Also added spiked neo chromed lug nuts lol.

      @@SnailHouseProjects also I did have to purchase a seperate wire extension kit. But still had to coil the excess wire up and zip tie under the trailer. FYI my trailer is 26 ft long you may not need the extension kit for a shorter trailer.

      @@richallen8742 nice. but you said you tricked it out with underlighting, i was wondering what lights you used for underlighting that change colors. I am wanting white lights under my horse trailer i just don't know what are the best lights for that... i can wire a bunch of 3/4" lights on a rail, or LED Strips. and i can wire in some ambers to act as blinkers under the trailer.

    Truck under 26K no cdl. Truck GVW over 26K CDL. Add trailer over 10K CDL A. Criminal offense. Cop will ticket you. By the time you go to court you will have needed to go to a CDL Class A driver school and pass. You will pass. Easy drive test is with a Day Cab Semi single axle with a short 43" trailer. EZPZ. Go to judge. Ticket dismissed. Bonus: State Police respect Class A drivers because they absolutely must keep the DL clean.

      That is false as long as the gcwr for both truck and trailer are 26,000lbs and under it does not require a cdl anything 26,001lbs and over requires a cdl believe me I carry one but it is not required for 26,000lbs and under look up the guidelines from fmcsa

    • @tgonnabe
      @tgonnabe Před 10 měsíci

      As working folks, we remember that other rules may apply for personal and RV use. Truck ≤26,000 and under no CDL (interpret as Class E, including the ability to add trailer what you want up to what fmcsa says is legal for your vehicle). Truck GVW over 26,000 (interpret as CDL B), add (interpret as gcwr) trailer over 10,000 lbs is CDL A. Stay legal, folks. @@trentonbutler4067
