I’m a nerd. I’d put a quiet core baffle in, but each person should enjoy their ride the way they want to. It’s definitely a lot cheaper than paying $700 for a slip-on!

Will it have engine issues in the long run if we remove the baffle stock?

There's no chance of this effecting anything other than sound

the ecu will adapt after a bit of riding and change the fuel air mixture without any drama

@@mountainbearoutdoorsIt’s probably not even a big enough change for the ECU to need to make any change at all…

Somehow, I bet those Honda engineers are smarter than you, and know better what that bike needs. If you wanna play, record your straight pipe Harley, strap a boom box to the p pad, and play that. Instant ghetto cool!

Usually those mufflers are there so the bike complies with noise regulations not to alter the performance of the vehicle

They wouldn't of made it removable via 3 easily visible/accessible bolts if it wasn't meant to be removed if desired...

Listen to those replies. The Engineers are VERY smart. But remember they have to listen to the beancounters, and comply with government regulations ‘until the bike is sold’…

No it's not lol. This isn't a carbureted bike. The factory ecu can and will compensate for air flow changes. Realistically this change isn't enough to need compensated for though. This is souly a sound gain not a performance gain.
