- King's Guard horse bites TWO women's ponytails when they get too close: A feisty King's Guard horse took its job to protect Buckingham Palace very seriously when a tourist stood too close for comfort. Video shows the shocking moment the horse clamped down on a woman's ponytail as she posed for a photo at the Horse Guards. The animal, ridden by a soldier from the Blues and Royals, was mounted next to a sign warning visitors: 'Beware! Horses may kick or bite.' In a similar incident - which appears to involve the same horse - a second tourist is then shown to be nipped on the shoulder while her friend takes her photograph.

This appears to be "Arnie" He is famous for keeping the tourist in line. He has bitten, head butted and even had the brains to grab pony tails or jackets to get tourist to give him space. Those of us who watch videos from Horse Guards "LOVE HIM". I am sure the Guards do also.

No not the peoples fault, neither of them touched the horse , was well away , no threatening moves and the Horse attacked, that horse needs better trading and kept away from people who only wanted a picture. Do you have experience with animals? Even those experienced around horses know they can kick or bite without warning. They don't need permission. It's up to you to avoid being kicked or bitten. And that horse never attacked, it was having fun. You will be in a hospital if a horse attacks you.
The guard is a highly trained soldier and his horse is a highly trained cavalry charger.,
Would you walk past a lion in a game reserve and blame it for attacking you just because you never touched it or made threatening moves?
The horse guards parade deserves respect for the soldiers and horses and it's not a petting zoo.

I know there’s a big sign there but they were far from the horse and when that lady was done taking a photo she walked away she was literally talking with someone else and the horse proceeds to get her ponytail

I've watched a lot of videos of Horse Guards and been there numerous times. People should not be allowed to get so close to the troopers and horses. A lot of people are disrespectful to our soldiers and army horses. It's not Disney Land these are serving soldiers and working horses.
Its clear none of them understand horses and crowd them and often several people at once are around the horse putting their hands on the horse's head or waving their hands in the horse's face. People showing no respect or common sense should be moved away immediately or just stop people getting so close in the first place. It's not the horses fault or the troopers. It's the public/tourist full of me, me, me entitlement and treating Horse Guards like it's Disney Land!
