  • Welcome to phase 2 of the FRANK THE TANK Toyota Landcruiser build.
    The engine is in and it’s time to start the finishing touches. While Jason from Tuff Mounts was installing the awesome Car Builders products, I set to work fitting up the freshly powdercoated bar work thanks to AAA Powdercoating, then bolted on the sick new Black Rhino Barstow wheels wrapped in Yokohama Geolander tyres.

    Great stuff I put an ls3 and 6l80 in my 80 about 7 years ago, let me know who you are using for the wiring as I would NOT use what I have. Not sure if you have got a fan setup worked out but with a few simple brackets and a little trimming VE thermo fans fit on a standard copper core 80 radiator and work well even after seeing lots of mud and water.

    • @HoonTV
      @HoonTV  Před 4 lety

      Good to know with the VE fans. That was something that needs to be addressed in a week when I get back.
      Keen to hear about your wiring. Maybe shoot through a message to the HoonTV Facebook page 👍🏻

      I did a bit in it before the conversion, but to be honest I've done so much 4WDing in the past in other twin locked etc etc 4WDs, I'm pretty keen to keep this looking nice for the meantime. Sounds soft I know, but for now maybe some fun in the dunes, but the sill panels will remain in tact :)
