Peach could low key be the next antagonist for an arc. Her motivations are right there: her castle being destroyed, and no one ever coming to rescue her.

To be honest, I was expecting Peach to be dressed like a Resistance Fighter or something like that, scavenging whatever she could find, and all that.
I'd like to imagine that it would have been her before this 'thing' took over her body. I mean, Mario did find her crown. Who's to say that there is not any trace of recordings of how she was doing you know.

I don't know if anyone realized but a few long episodes back, peach saved everyone from the beginning of t-pose apocalypse before waluigi got stronger. I still think she deserves better from being left in the old rotten broken castle.
